Cheddar Biscuit Cups

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
Very dense biscuit! I think it was the milk. I might try using water next time instead and they will be lighter like the red lobster biscuits. I added 1/2 tsp of herbs de provence, 1/4 tsp garlic salt, and 1/4 tsp. onion powder. Then I used the same seasonings mixed with melted butter to brush onto the biscuits after baking. My sisters and I each ate 2 right away!

Very Good! I added 1 diced celery stalk and a few grated baby carrots to the onion mixture. Then followed the recipe. I simmered on low heat for about 2 hours waiting for my guest to arrive. Served with Texas Garlic Toast, YUMMY!

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
yum yum yum yum! I followed one of the top reviews and used water instead of milk. Glad I did, they turned out perfect! Baked for 8 minutes, next time I will bake for 9 to get the cheesy edges extra browned.

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2008
I visited my parents' tonight and helped my dad make this. We all liked it! I microwaved the peppers until tender instead of boiling. Cooked the rice and beef seperate. Baked the peppers for 20 minutes and served with salad! (only needed 1 can of tomato soup). Also topped with mozzerella cheese. *Made this AGAIN for dinner guest tonight. Everybody liked it!*

Sour Cream Coffee Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
Yum! My only bummer was that my crumbly topping wasn't crumbly at all. Not sure what I did wrong. I then added a sugar glaze topping like someone suggested and it tasted like a cinnamon roll! We liked it anyways.

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
Tender and Delicious! This was my 2nd attempt at Pot Roast and it's a keeper! I browned the meat in olive oil/onion/garlic first. I also cut my meat up beforehand. I used a 3 pound roast. During the last hour I added a can of cream of chicken soup to thicken the gravy. (had no flour to thicken)I used 2 cups of water and added 2 boullion cubes since we love gravy. Very Very Good!

Michelle's Coconut Chicken Curry

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
We love Coconut Chicken Curry! But this was lacking in flavor..I did add red pepper flakes, 1 jalapeno, 1 T. brown sugar, and 2 small potatoes. But something was missing. I will try a different curry next time.

Corn Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
This was EASY! I already had leftover egg noodles and I had 2 patties leftover from Travis's Turkey Burgers with a Bite! So, I crumbled them up and followed the recipe, using creamed corn. I also added some pepperjack cheese on top! This was so good with garlic bread to scoop it up!

Basic Spicy Tomato Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2008
This was my first attempt at homemade marinara. I used a 10oz. can crushed tomatoes and 1 can rotel, I pureed the rotel. I did tweak the seasonings a bit! My bf thought it was too runny so I will add tomato paste next time.

Peanut Butter Vegetable Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
I love soup! I had alot of fresh broccoli and decided to try this recipe. There were a few vegetables that I left out. I browned the chicken first then put everything in the crockpot. I cooked it on high for 3 hours. I also added some brown rice on a whim the last 30 minutes. If you like spice, add some red pepper flakes and asian chile sauce. I can't wait to eat this again tomorrow! You won't notice the peanut butter!

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
This is rich and creamy! I never wanted the taste to end! I diced up the mushroom because I don't like mushrooms that much. I used 4 cups vegetable broth for the veggie in the house and 2 cups milk. This was the first time I have made risotto and I will definately make again!

D's Famous Salsa

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
Very easy to put together, always a plus! It turned out sweet so I added 2 serrano peppers and 1 jalapeno. I have made this many times. Since the tomatoes are stewed it always comes out a little too sweet. I always use pretty much the whole bunch of cilantro and add some cumin. So much better than salsa from the jar!
