This is a good base recipe, however, I made some minor changes that improve the finished cookie. The basic recipe is a little oily, so I always add 1/4 cup all purpose flour to make a firmer cookie. **You can also use a 'regular' cake mix, that does not have pudding in the mix and it comes out just as tasty. For a pretty yellow colored cookie, add 3 drops yellow food coloring. To prevent spreading, mix, then refridgerate for 1 hour, shape, roll in powdered sugar and baked as directed. You can also roll them contrasting colored sugar crystals for a fun punch of color. The crystals make a crispier outer coating that my family likes. ** Of course, you can use any other cake mix recipe and modify the flavor add-ins to suit your own tastes. Bake on parchment lined pan for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool on pan for 3 minutes, then remove to cool completely on cooling rack. Enjoy!
