Smoky Grilled Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2014
I used pork steaks, I applied the wet and dry ingredients seperate because I season my meat according to its thickness, and I seared on a stovetop griddle and finished in 400 degree oven for 20 minutes. Rating just the flavor, it was excellent! The combination is perfect and I cannot wait to put it on EVERYTHING that I grill! Seasoned salt is a tricky beast so use it according to taste.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2014
I did halve the salt to add 1 beef bouillon as another reviewer suggested and it is muy perfecto!!! We will never buy the packet again!!! Update: I boiled the meat to get that resturant texture. I did not drain the water; I added the whole bowl (3T) of seasoning to the beef in the water and let it reduce. I then added 1/4 tsp of cornstarch to cold water in a bowl and added it to the meat... BEST EVER!!!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2013
I love this recipe!!! I have made this 3 times and every time has been a raving success! I always substitute chicken broth for water and I dont use the butter. I also have used whatever chicken I have on hand (leg thigh quarters and bone in breast). Always great! Make sure to submerge the biscuit dough and give them enough time to get the right consistancy, like 1 1/2 hours!

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: May 16, 2012
I never have used the oil nor actual garlic, only garlic powder and this is always so good! My dh says to give it 7 stars. Its not too sweet when you use equal parts honey and ketchup, and its not too messy when you use a disposable pan. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS CHICKEN!!!

Southern Candied Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2010
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!! The reviews are correct!!! I did get confused about if I needed to add water, but since the recipe didnt say to add it, I didnt. The sugar and salt pulls the water out of the potatos and makes more than enough sauce. I did sub part of the white sugar for brown sugar, but I didnt measure anything, thats just me. If this is your first or hundredth time making sweet potatos, try this recipe, you wont be disappointed.

Little Meat Loaves

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
The first time I made these, I had never made meatloaf before. That day I didnt have any sausage so I just doubled the ground beef. Since then, I only make this meatloaf and I make it very often. I never use sausage and it still gets kind of greasy. But it is soooooo good. The men (dad, dh,sons) in my life praise this one as their favorite of all my recipes. THANK YOU for giving me this one. UPDATE: Still using this recipe and my fellas get excited every time.

Herb Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
These are wonderful. Make sure to salt to your own taste. I made the mistake of adding the cornstarch to the liquid after it had begun to boil in the pot. OOPS. I wont boil after that. The pork loin is better the next day. I want to try this on chops and maybe fowl.

Japanese Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2006
This was an awesome recipe. My man doesnt like sweet foods at all, so I was a little nervous about this one. But when he tasted these, all that changed. He has been praising them all day. These are a absolute keeper. At least twice a month. Do make more sauce than required and try adding a little corn starch to make it a little stickier. You'll LOVE'EM!!!

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2005
This was my first time ever making lasagna and let me say it was great. I added more cheese for my own taste but everything else I did to the letter. I will be keeping this one for sure. This would be great for those potlucks at work. Try it. You'll LOVE it.
