Hot Cross Buns II

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2010
What did I do wrong? Followed the recipe to the letter, even purchased new yeast to ensure freshness. I am not a novice bread maker, yet this dough didn't rise after two hours!

Rhubarb Strawberry Crunch

Reviewed: May 21, 2010
Wow...I've had & made lots of different versions of rhubarb crisp over the years, but this one is by far the best. Love the addition of strawberries. Made it exactly as the recipe call for. My husband loved it. Makes a large pan, so makes for great leftovers. Thanks Michelle for the terrific recipe!

Crisp Little Lemon Cookies

Excellent & simple recipe. I made the devils' food version with choc chips. Thinking I will try butter pecan with added roasted pecans next. Possibilities are endless here. Thanks Lori for the great recipe!

Excellent recipe! I didn't have any regular potatoes on hand so substituted with sweet potatoes. Yum! Super easy and full of flavour. Hubby who is not a big soup fan went back for seconds

Fugi Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2011
this is a great salad! you don't need the 2 tbsp. butter to brown the almonds and seeds as they contain natural oils. You need to watch closely so not to burn, but otherwise very easy & good!

Merlot-Peppercorn Steak Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2011
did not care for this recipe at all. I should have realized it wouldn't meet my preferred creamy sauce taste. Don't care for the wine reduction flavour. Would probably be very good if that's your taste liking. sorry...probably won't make this again

Naan

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2012
This is a fantastic recipe. As with others' suggestions, I added 1/4 tsp. baking soda and rolled the bread out very thin. I was too lazy to fire up the grill at -40 degrees (Canada), so I pan fried in a non stick pan . Lightly brushed both sides of the naan with ghee butter . Turned out fantastic! Thanks for the recipe. I will never buy store bought naan again!

Grilled Peaches and Cream

This is one of my favorites during peach season. I serve mine drizzled with a little Bailey's , or other liqueur & topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt. Awesome!

Dave's Coleslaw

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2012
this was really good. I halved the ingredients as I didn't need the large quantity. I substituted the dill pickle for sweet relish as per another's rating. Also substituted half the mayo for plain Greek yogurt. Yum! Thanks for sharing the recipe

Cranberry Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
Awesome and easy! I did tweak a little as per some of the reviews by cutting the water down to 1/2 cup and adding orange zest once berries were cooked down. Allowed to sit overnight to cool before making the bars. Made a second batch using Saskatoon berries with lemon zest in place of cranberries. Oh my!!!!!! I think I like these better than the cranberry version, but then again , I'm partial to Saskatoon berries. So good!

super easy recipe I've used for sometime now. I add chopped ham, peppers and onions. Great for company brunch. I serve mine with a side of hash browned potatoes and a bid dish of salsa. Some toast and fruit salad....Voila! Brunch is served :-)

Black Bean Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2013
Wow! These were awesome! Didn't have the tomatoes with peppers, so substituted with regular diced and threw in a can of chiles. Added garlic powder as well and used kraft habenero shred cheese to top. Awesome. Will definitely be making these again. Had some leftover filling so saved it for wraps in which I also used habenero shred cheese. Awesome! Thanks for sharing recipe
