Slow Cooker Kielbasa and Beer

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
Delicious!!! And super easy. I mean so easy it's ridiculous. I jazzed up the kraut a little with some brown sugar and Dijon mustard. I also threw in some brats with the kielbasa and everything came out great.

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
THis was really good. I usually stay away from crock pot recipes that have you brown/cook a component first but this was really no trouble. I took the advice of others and used mushroom soup instead of the chicken and I have no complaints! Everyone loved it and I think I'll make it again soon.

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
Easy and yummy. It's like meatloaf in a cabbage! I also doubled the sauce and made extras. Is it wrong that I had the leftovers for breakfast this morning?

Chicken and Garlic

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2012
This was pretty easy and not bad. I didn't find it exploding with flavor, but it was juicy and something different!

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2012
I agree with others that the pork itself was pretty bland though quite tender. We ended up putting BBQ sauce on it and it was great. The onions actually tasted really good- maybe they soaked up all the flavor?

Curried Quinoa

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2010
Well, if I have to eat quinoa, I guess this is a good recipe. I would add more curry flavor and less chili powder flavor, but that's just me. My husband liked it though.

Pepperoni Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2010
Easy.Of course I changed a few things to make it even easier. I made two batches but I used the pillsbury pizza dough for both. When I just followed the recipe, the bread was a bit dry. For my second batch I brushed some sauce on the inside of the dough and after it was rolled, more on the outside. I thought it was much more moist but not really saucy. Thanks for the idea!

Bow Tie Pasta with Broccoli, Garlic, and Lemon

This was so easy and delicious. The only changes I made were to add pre-cooked shrimp and some fresh basil at the end!

Asian Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Pineapple

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
Impressive! I thought this recipe sounded a little weird at first, but it came out great; very flavorful! I used regular boneless pork chops instead of the tenderloin and they were yummy. Thanks!

This was fine. Nothing too exciting- not bland or spicy. It was pretty easy to make and easy cleanup though.

This was my first time making corned beef and cabbage. It was AWESOME. So easy a caveman could do it. I cooked it on low though.....

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
YUM! I really liked this recipe as a base, but I too added some stuff (cinnamon and nutmeg). I wasn't sure how many bananas 2 1/3 cups is, so I used 3 bananas. I also just mixed the wet ingredients then the dry instead of creaming the butter and sugar first. It was a good idea to put some brown sugar on top to get the crunchy top and I sprinkled some more cinnamon on too. About an hour or 55 mins at 325 worked for me.

I could take or leave this. It made a lot but I really didn't want to eat it more than twice.

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2010
Yum. I liked it even better reheated. I would say that the taste was good but not very strong. We added a little red pepper but next time we'll use more curry and pepper to give it some zip. I drained my tomatoes and used lite coconut milk. I cut up a zuchini, red bell pepper and 2 carrots and threw them in the pan as everything was simmering. Served over rice and it was good.

Zippy Summer Shrimp

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
SO easy. I used the frozen cooked shrimp to make it even easier. I thawed them and removed the tails then heated them up in the saute pan with red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper, salt, olive oil, garlic and lemon juice. Really good with some veggies and rice.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
Wow. The easiest and the best recipe (for anything) I've found in a LONG time. I used some sort of cheap big cut of pork and a bottle of sauce and it was DELICIOUS. I dont put the shredded pork in the oven- just back in the crockpot. My husband asks for it all of the time!

Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
I normally don't eat chicken thighs but they are so cheap these days. This was good and super easy. I marinated the chicken for about an hour before baking. I also put some of the spices under the skin . It came out very moist and yummy. Will try again.

Make Ahead French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
The idea was great but the finished product wasn't as good as I'd hoped. It was soggy and the topping was hard to spread/ drizzle evenly. I also had problems with it sticking to the buttered AND sprayed dish. To avoid the sogginess I will make sure there is only one layer of bread next time and flip halfway, and I think I'll use non stick cookie sheets instead of the glass casserole dish. **I toasted the leftovers in the toaster oven the next day and they were even better. Will try again.
