The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
The best ever. Title says it all. Will only use this 1 from now on. The dough for this is a little wetter than other's I think, but the cookies come out sooooo good, just make sure to work with chilled small sections of the dough 1 at a time, so it's easier to work with. Also as another reviewer stated parchment paper is great for the bottom of the cookies to come out perfect. I did change 1 thing, in addition to the vanilla extract, I added 1/4tsp of Almond extract. I love the taste of almonds and a little bit goes a long way.

Out of this World Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
I will do this 1 from now on, but slightly alter it. I used a 13lb bird and brined it for 2 days. I doubled the spices except fopr the salt. I used kosher salt. It came out slightly too salty, so I'll try it with just 1 cup of salt next time.

Spicy Rapid Roast Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
This is the quickest way to cook a whole chx. I did mine slightly different. I put my chicken on a beer can holder than placed in a heavy duty pie dish to catch the drippings. Half of the beer went into the pie dish and the other half stayed in the can and that's what I put in the beer can holder. I rubbed my chicken down with a mixture of oive oil and Dinosaur Bar-B-Que Cajun Foreplay spice rub, it is very much the same as the spices in this recipe. Came out great.

Sausage and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
I think making was the last time for stuffing. I've always been a stuffing gal, even going as far to stuff the bird, remove and re-bake to kill bacteria for the taste, but I found that I really didn't like this. I wished I had done a really nice wild rice mix for christmas instead.

These are really good, just make sure they are baked enough. I always have a few not baked through all the way.

Baked Sweet Potatoes with Ginger and Honey

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
Won't make again, just not my cup of tea. I like sweet potatoes/yams, but not like this. Even cut the ginger in half and it was too much.

Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
This is a very nice brine recipe. It's the second I've tried. Stuffed my turkey with 5 apples sliced for flavoring the breast (cooked breast side down until ready for browning) and it came out great.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
This deserves 10 stars. I finally have potatoes to rival my mother. I downsized mine to 5 servings and added more garlic. I throw my whole cloves in with the potatoes to boil and just mash them up, always comes out good. I will never make another kind of potatoes. Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this.

Campbell's® Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
It's OK. I've been doing green bean casserole for years. I love the stuff. I can fill up a plate of this and sit down to eat. I've always made my own style of it, but this year for christmas I thought I'd do this since it's so publisized. None of us liked it. I don't know exactly why, maybe it was the soy sauce or that it is watered down so much with milk. I make mine with a heavier soup and no soy sauce and real thinly sliced onions in it while it bakes.

Spicy Peach-Glazed Pork Chops

I had to use this with a small pork roast instead of chops cause they were cheaper this week. I would make this again, I liked it alot.

I love bean soups, but this one lacked flavor. Will make again, but sub veggie or chicken broth for the water.

Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2006
Had to downsize recipe since I only had a 12lb turkey. This is the only way I will do turkey from now on. I changed it slightly by stuffing the turky with chopped apples instead of the veggies and put all the veggies in the pan. Also added double the amount of white wine.

Chicken Breast Stuffed with Spinach Blue Cheese and Bacon

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2006
Make ssure you like blue cheese before using it in this recipe. I thought I did, but I had to scrape out the spinach mixture after getting a few bites of the blue cheese. Other than the cheese, this is a A+ recipe. I can't wait to make again.
