Decorator Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2009
The BEST frosting for cutouts! I have my mother's cutout cookie recipe but was not able to find her recipe for frosting and this one tastes identical to hers! Thanks for posting!

Swiss Cheese 'n' Onion Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2009
I love quiche and this is, BY FAR, the best "base" quiche recipe that I have found. I only added crumbled bacon this time but plan to try many variations including crab/shrimp. EXCELLENT!

Yummy Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2010
I didn't change anything (except added extra artichoke which I can never get enough of!). AWESOME - I call this "crack dip" because when I start on it I cannot STOP!

Coconut Cream Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
BEST pie recipe I've ever gotten from this site! I changed NOTHING and it turned out PERFECT! I have no idea what mistakes people made when they said that it didn't set, but I had no problems! I used extra large eggs - maybe the higher yolk content helped it to set up well? Coconut Cream is my hubby's favorite pie so I am so glad to have this recipe as others I have tried were not very good. THANK YOU BETTY!

Pecan Pie Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2012
I love pecan pie but have NEVER successfully baked one. This will be my "go to" recipe when I am having my pecan craving! Super easy recipe with ingredients that I always have on hand - THANKS!

5 Cup Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2013
My mom always made this to take to pot lucks and picnics - fabulous blast from the past! I used crushed pinapple (only because that is what I had on hand) and it still turned out awesome. I added some chopped walnuts for a little nutty crunch :)

Boston Cream Pie II

Reviewed: May 24, 2014
WOW - This recipe is definitely a keeper! The only thing I did differently was that I used two 8" pans so that I didn't have to try to cut the cake evenly for layering. Of course it didn't take as long to bake (I think 20-25 minutes instead). I love making cakes from scratch :)

Pecan Pie Bars I

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2014
OMG - These are AWESOME! The only thing I did differently was I used brown sugar instead of white for the topping. Be sure to use a large "jelly roll" pan and you will have no problems with it baking over. The bake time was perfect. As another reviewer stated, I have never made a successful pecan pie, not for lack of trying. This is my new go-to recipe when I am craving pecan pie! I can't stay out of them!
