About this Cook
I'm a mother of 2, mother-in-law of 2, and grandmother of 5.
My favorite things to cook
Anything my family loves.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Old style...but I'll go with easy and tasty recipes if it makes my family happy!
My cooking triumphs
Cinnamon rolls for breakfast and the best turkey for Thanksgiving!
My cooking tragedies
I used canning salt once instead of sugar in my sugar cookies by accident. The cookies were the best looking ones I had ever made, but we choked on them when we tasted the salt!

Vegan Split Pea Soup I
This is an excellent, hearty soup. It's easy to make and keeps well.

Easy Cheesy Cream of Broccoli Soup
Easy and tastes great. Yes, it would be better to use fresh ingredients, but heh, when it tastes great and is easy, it rates a 5! Sometimes we make changes to this recipe such as using cream of chicken instead of cream of mushroom or using fresh broccoli - no matter what we substitute or use this is a great base recipe... try it... you will not be sorry.

Cake Balls
We did chocolate cake with white icing and semi sweet chocolate chips to dip them. WOW!!! All the way through the recipe I kept thinking they were going to be awful - they looked awful until done.
