Cinnamon-Apple Chex® Mix

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2008
This was good, but I microwaved it longer than I was supposed to after adding the apples because they didn't appear brown as the directions said they should. Now some of the apples are hard or too chewy, so next time I will be sure to only microwave it for the time it states.

German Sweet Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2007
Everyone loved this cake, even my father-in-law who can be pretty critical of cooks sometimes. The only change I had to make was that it took nearly an hour to cook all the way through in a 9x13. It still turned out lovely, but something to keep in mind.

White Chocolate Pound Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
I didn't think this was all that exceptional, although a lot of my family really liked it. I also think that trying to drizzle the chocolate was a pain, next time I would make a glaze to drizzle instead.

Pancakes on the Go

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
These pancakes are very light with a great wholesome texture due to the oatmeal. My husband does not typically care for pancakes but today he had seconds. I think that I will add a teaspoon or two of cinnamon the next time I make these as it will pair well with the brown sugar.

Quick and delicious! I doubled the milk and cream cheese (I bought low fat), added green onion and crushed red pepper. I really enjoyed it!

Bratwurst Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
I used spinach rather than cabbage b/c we don't like cabbage. Turned out very well and was great for a cold day.

Peanut Butter Cup Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2006
My family loved these brownies and they were pretty quick to make. After reading the reviews, I put in an extra egg to make the brownies a little more moist. I filled muffin cups halfway and resulted in 15 brownies. Also I baked 30 minutes, with 15 min on the middle rack of the oven and 15 on an upper rack so they wouldn't burn. They were great.

Broccoli Chicken Roli

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
My husband LOVED this, I liked it but I thought it would be better w/ sour cream or creamed cheese instead of the mayo. I omitted the green pepper, and cooked frozen broccoli and fresh onion w/ the chicken so it would be cooked through well. I think the crescent roll wreath would be a great base for chicken fajita mixture, or a breakfast dish w/ scrambled eggs, cheese and crumbled bacon.

I used ground turkey rather than beef, added minced garlic to the onion, and added a little crushed red pepper... very good!

S'mores Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2010
I thought these were great. I followed the recipe exactly and they were awesome. My dad suggested maybe adding some coconut to the mix one time to make it even more delicious, although that would take away from it being a true s'more bar ;)

Ocean Spray® Oatmeal Cranberry White Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2010
I'm surprised at some of the poor reviews this recipe received. I followed it exactly except that I did substitute some wheat flour for the regular flour. I thought they turned out great!

Sicilian Lentil Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2010
I did not add the sugar, but I followed the rest of the recipe and served it over linguine. Delicious! Hubby loved it and told me at least twice how good it was.

No Bake Cereal Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2007
My mom made these cereal bars when I was a child. I was hoping they would taste the same as hers; however, I think she used marshmallows instead of corn syrup. I think that the corn syrup gave the bars somewhat of a stale texture/taste. Despite this, there were several people at work who liked them.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
Nice, classic cheesecake. Mine did crack, but I didn't not bother with the water bath-- I figured that it was going to be cut up anyways :) It was smooth and creamy and I thought it was plenty sweet enough. I was a little confused about the amount of graham crackers, I wasn't sure if it was the whole sheets or individual crackers. Obviously it was NOT the whole sheets b/c that was way too much for the crust. Will use those crumbs for a different dessert. Also, next time I would use a 10 inch springform. There was so much batter that the whole thing rose out of the pan during baking and because of this, became a little to o brown around the edges.

Delicious! I followed the recipe, mostly. I didn't use any butter, used fresh spinach instead of frozen, and added a chopped poblano pepper. Will definately make again!

Caldo Gallega

We loved this soup! I used fresh spinach instead of frozen. The chorizo I used was so spicy it gave the whole pot of soup a kick. I will definately make it again.
