Restaurant-Style Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
My hubby & I loved this!!! The only thing I would probably change is to end up with less meat--even my husband thought it was meat-heavy. But I would not want to sacrifice the flavor of the base by getting rid of any of it, so I guess I wouldn't change anything.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
Wow! Yeah, spicy. But my hubby & I love spicy. We both prefer the texture of shredded chicken in soups, so I put the chicken in the soup pot with 2 quarts of water and a dash of salt, dash of cayenne, and dash of cumin, and let it simmer at medium for an hour. Then I pull it apart. Set the chicken aside, discard the cooking water (not as flavorful as the chicken stock will be) and follow the recipe from there.

Bread and Celery Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
I never need to get another stuffing recipe again. I did use a small carton of chicken stock and then the chicken broth as needed. Perfect.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
My brother-in-law ate the whole thing. I love this recipe. I made a double-batch because I had a deep dish and it was super. I will never need another pumpkin pie recipe. It is just a hint spicier than most, to set it apart. Fabulous.

Gone-All-Day Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2007
I really liked the almonds. Next time I really need to let it sit for 10 hours on low instead of 5 on high.

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2007
Loved this! Hubby loved this! The only thing I am going to try next time is to us less sugar and one more onion. It was awesome with the snow peas and egg noodles. I was nervous about the tabasco sauce, but it was a complex and good flavor.

Black Treacle Scones

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2005
These would be incredible for the holidays! They are not sweet at all, I would use them as the bread with a meal. I am considering using them for Thanksgiving. Really wonderful.

Scottish Oat Scones

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2005
I used raisins instead of currants. These were so good my husband and I ate all 16 in less than 2 days.
