About this Cook
I am married and have two grown sons. My older son in the Army and is on his second tour of duty in Iraq. I love to cook and go to all sorts of restaurants...even the hole-in-wall ones! Sometimes when the "package" looks a little rough, the contents are awesome!
My favorite things to cook
I am very good at cooking Mexican food. (My mother says that I need to bottle and sell my salsa.) I have been cooking since I was 14 years old.
My favorite family cooking traditions
That would definitely be my mom's famous tacos! They are amazingly good!
My cooking triumphs
I prepared Chinese food for my in-laws (made from scratch) and my father-in-law said it was the best Chinese food he had ever eaten. Not bad for a new bride, huh!
My cooking tragedies
Hmmm, it would have to be when we invited my husband's boss over for dinner. Nothing went right, I made homemade bacon bits, the bacon was very crispy, okay, I overcooked the heck out of it. The steak was tough and the baked potatoes took forever to get done. I was so embarrassed especially since my husband had bragged about what a good cook I am.

Overnight Tuna Casserole
This is a great base recipe. I added dill, garlic, pepper, salt & tarragon. It turned out very tasty. I doubled the recipe and there was very little left. Hubby and son ate it up! Thanks for the recipe!

Slow Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage
Just finished eating this very yummy corned beef and cabbage. I wish I would have bought a larger cut of corned beef now. It's almost gone and I was really looking forward to the leftovers! So good!
