Ken's Perfect Hard Boiled Egg (And I Mean Perfect)

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
This is the perfect method for hard boiling eggs. Just follow the recipe as it is presented and you will be golden. I have always had problems with hard boiled eggs. They never turned out quite right and I have lived through numerous deviled egg nightmares when I got to the peeling stage. Sometime got so mad I just threw the whole lot down the grinder. I just made 8 eggs following this recipe step by step. I pulled one out of the icy cooling water, whacked it on the side of the sink and it was perfectly peeled 3 seconds later. Salted it, popped it in my watering mouth and tasted pure perfection! Thanks!

Honey Mustard Dressing II

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
Awesome dressing. Only had about 1/8 cup of mayo left, so subbed non-fat plain Greek yogurt instead. Very tasty! Used 1/2 regular yellow mustard and 1/2 Dijon. Thanks for a quick delicious dressing!

So good! Wanted to make chili, but didn't want to go through a bunch of work and get a million ingredients. This was perfect. I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out great.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
This chicken was CRAZY good! I followed the recipe exactly, stuck it in the fridge in an oven bag overnight and roasted it the next day. The whole house smelled like heaven and the chicken was as tender as a baby's behindy! :) I will make two more of these for dinner this week. Try it and you'll be hooked!

Cheese Garlic Biscuits II

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
Very tasty and easy to make. Love it when I don't have to go to the grocery store to make something yummy! I did add a pinch of baking soda and garlic powder as suggested. Baked on an air bake cookie sheet and had no sticking problems. Awesome! Thanks!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
I have made this many times now and it is always a big hit. I make sure to buy a good quality brand of BBQ sauce and don't get one that is too sweet because you already have a good amount of sweetness with the brown sugar in the recipe. I always make sandwiches on French or Dutch Crunch rolls and my guests gobble it all up every time.

Easy Chocolate Bundt Cake Glaze

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
This stuff ROCKS!! I usually throw away leftover frosting...not with this stuff, no siree. The leftovers have been carefully safeguarded in the freezer for later. I made this to go over the Black Magic Cake recipe that is also on this site. The cake was a huge hit at my Halloween party.

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
I made this cake for a Halloween party and it turned out PERFECT! I baked it in a bundt pan and took it out of the oven and put it straight into the freezer for 20 minutes as someone suggested in a review. I had no problem getting it out of the pan or handling it. I prepared the Easy Chocolate Bundt Cake Glaze from this site and drizzled it over the cake when it had cooled. This has an amazing flavor and is super moist. I am going to make it again tonight since I still have buttermilk leftover. Good excuse to make it again, huh? "Can't waste the buttermilk, now can we?"

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
This cake is so moist and delicious. I have made it many times for work and at home for parties and holiday gatherings and it gets devoured every time. People shamelessly ask for pieces of the cake "to take home to their spouse, kids, whoever..." Yeah, right, I know they are gobbling it as they are stopped on the side of the dark road! It's like culinary crack!

These are a huge hit at my house. My 8 year old son asks for them all the time. Very easy to make. I find that they take a bit longer to cook though. You won't be sorry if you try these.

Rocky Road Ice Cream

I made this for a BBQ and my friends were raving! They asked me four times if I "really" made this myself. One guest ate three cones of this glorious concoction! It was GONE in a marshmallowy flash!

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

This was awesome! I didn't have poppy seeds so used celery seed and I cut back just a tad on the sugar after reading the reviews. It was so tasty and got even better the following day, I will make this over and over.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
I am embarrassed to say that this was the first time I had ever made a cake from scratch, oh, except for a cheescake which I have made about 3-4 times. Up to this point every other cake I have made has come from a box. This carrot cake was awesome! I looked at some reviews and the only changes I made were adding a teaspoon more cinnamon than was called for and reducing the sugar for the frosting by 1/2 cup. This cake was devoured in record time. I will be making another one later this week. It was so awesome. I love AllRecipes because they make me look so good! When friends and family are gushing with delight over the goodies that I make I give a secret thanks to you AllRecipes!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2009
Oh my god! I never would have thought that I could make a cheesecake, much less one that came out PERFECT and tasted like HEAVEN. I followed other reviewers advice and baked it in a bain marie (water bath) with the pan wrapped in a roasting bag. I have made this three times now. This last time I made it, I forgot to grease the pan and realized it as I was pouring the filling over the crust! Daaang! I freaked and ran to Google "I forgot to grease my cheesacake pan". After reading several accounts, I realized I was not in big trouble after all. Well, I baked the cheesecake and when it was finished I ran a knife around the inside of the pan as suggested. The only thing this accomplished was to tear up the crust a bit. I was nervous as this cheesecake was meant to be dessert that night. We were entertaining some fairly new friends and I wanted to make a good impression. They arrived that night bearing sweets, so I knew that if the cheesecake was a disaster at least we would still have dessert. The time came to bust out the cheesecake and I gave my disclaimer about forgetting to grease. We cut into the cake and served it around. It was perfect again. Save for the bit of roughed up crust we were in business! Thanks chibi chef! You and this wonderful cheesecake ROCK!
