About this Cook
I have a full time job in the software industry and I'm also a professional photographer, running a studio business in my home. I'm a busy Mom of a 3 yr old daughter, and have another on the way. So I'm always trying to find impressive dishes that are easy to make, and please my very picky husband.
My favorite things to cook
Thai Thai Thai!! And pretty much any other Asian food too. I also like to make unusual soups and appetizers too! I'm always searching for great crock pot recipes for weeknights.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Mom hates to cook, so it is amazing that both my brother and I have turned into quite gourmet cooks! I do Thanksgiving at my house, and he does Christmas.
My cooking tragedies
I have a very picky husband, who often shoots down some of my favorite dishes. Most things, I'm lucky to get an "it's OK".

Egg Drop Soup (Better than Restaurant Quality!)
I'm surprised, (with so few ingredients) but this was really good! My picky kids loved it and said it was as good as our local Chinese restaurant. The only thing I changed was using a lot more cornstarch (at least double, maybe a bit more). And it was fast and easy! I have a feeling I'll be making this for the kids quite often! Thanks!

Ten Bean Soup II
Even though I thought this might turn out bland, it was very good! I added 2 chicken buillion cubes, 2 BIG fresh diced Jalepenos (really kicked up the spice nicely). I added quite a bit more garlic, and 2 Tbsp of red wine vinegar. The last 10 minutes I added some 'quick cook' barley to make it a bit more hearty. This was much better than other 'multi bean' soups I've tried!

Restaurant Style Egg Drop Soup
Very good and authentic AND easy. I didn't have any chicken broth, so I substituted powdered bullion, and it worked just fine. I also added a bit more cornstarch and white pepper.
