Potato Casserole II

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2011
I love this. I use corn flakes on top, and I also use o'brien potatoes instead of adding onions.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2011
This was really good. I used 1 can cream of chicken, and 1 can cream of celery. I added carrots, corn and some french cut green beans. When the chicken was cooked, after about 4 hours on high, I broke the chicken up into large pieces with two forks and added the biscuits, cut into quarters. I didn't think the biscuits would ever cook, but they did, after about an hour to and hour and a half. It also was good heated up as leftovers. I will definitely make it again.

Pennsylvania Dutch Pickled Beets and Eggs

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2005
My mother makes pickled eggs with beets, but instead of the brine she puts in a jar of the little yellow hot peppers along with the juice. Wax peppers, not pepperoncini. If you're looking for a less sweet version, you might like it that way. This is also an Easter favorite for us, as the eggs come out looking so pretty.

Shoofly Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2005
This recipe came out too runny. This was my first attempt at shoofly pie. It was very easy to make, but it's possible I did something wrong. The edges came out pretty good, so maybe it just needed to bake longer.

Apricot Chicken I

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2005
This was really easy and came out great. I used 1 pkg of soup mix, and it was plenty. I served it with rice. My kids and I all liked this. My daughter said she could eat it every day.
