Grandmother's Oatmeal Cookies
These were great. Not the best I've had but many of my friends said they had never tasted better. I wouldn't recommend refridgerating the dough and baking at a later time. Make the 4 dozen all at once when the dough is at room temp. or else the cookies will not flaten out while baking. The only thing I didn't like about these cookies was that it seemed as though I could feel the consistency of the granulated sugar while chewing. Other than that, fabulous taste.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
Yes, this is an easy pie to make but not as easy as a traditional apple pie which I would have enjoyed much more. Good thing my son and I went apple picking this weekend or I might have said this was a waste of apples.

Special Buttercream Frosting
Sweet and fluffy. I used 1 stick butter and 1 stick butter flavored Crisco. This may sound strange but as a compliment to a not so sweet cake the frosting was a little too sweet. I think that on a sweeter cake it wouldn't have tasted so sweet. The frosting itself; a five star recipe.
