Apple Salad II

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
This was great! I used mandarin oranges instead of raisins, too. It was delicious and just sweet enough. The pinapple chunks are delicious. The only bad thing that happened was that it got a little "soupy" at the bottom. I'm about to take it to a Salad Supper at my church...we'll see how it goes! Oh, and it makes a TON of salad! Next time I might put a saucer upside down at the bottom of the bowl to catch the excess liquid that comes off.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2008
This recipe was terrific! I did modify it a little, though. I omitted the sugars and added a banana. Also, I used seedless blackberry preserves. The chips turned out great, but the salsa ended up a little soupy. Next time I'll use fresh strawberries instead of frozen! Nevertheless, this is definitely a recipe that will be made around here for a long time.

Sweet Potato Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2006
Absolutely amazing. I think my dad got teary when he ate this because it reminded him of Grandma's cooking years back. We told my great aunt Maggie that we only used one sweet potato and she felt sorry for me:"Aww honey, is that all you had?" ! Anyway, this was great! I have made it probably 6 times this Christmas season. I love the idea of using a milkshake blender -- it keeps the stringy parts out of the sweet potato. I will definitely be making this again and again.

Fresh Pear Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
AAAA-MAZING!! I don't care for apples but i LOVE pears and this was an awesome way to serve them! It really keeps the flavor and texture of the pears in the pie. I will definitely be making this one again! A big hit with everyone... even my picky boyfriend! --Sam
