Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
Perfectly delicious with a spicy kick! My friends were raving about the sauce all evening and intermittently a week after. I followed the recipe exactly, except I omitted the liquid smoke flavoring.

Easy Baked Tilapia

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
Delicious and simple! I don't like frozen vegetables, so I used fresh broccoli instead. Everything still cooked wonderfully.

Broccoli in Roast Chicken Drippings

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2007
This recipe sounded way too easy to be so good, but AllRecipes ratings never lie! It was excellent. The longer you cook, the softer the broccoli gets, so I taste test occasionally for crunchiness.

Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2005
Delicious ribs! I did the marinating step overnight in the fridge, and used Frank's RedHot Xtra Hot cayenne pepper sauce because I didn't have chile sauce. I grilled the ribs on my indoor/outdoor George Foreman Grill, and they were great! I loved the spiciness in the sauce. Next time I'll try using my new charcoal grill.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2005
This was my first time making chicken and dumplings, and I took the liberty of making some adjustments. I used Campbell's cream of celery condensed soup instead of cream of chicken, added carrots and sliced button mushrooms, added one can of Swanson's chicken broth, and made some Bisquick biscuit dough instead of using something prepackaged. The consistency looked a little funny before I added the dough, but in the end everything was great!

Beautiful and delicious! I like to use Knott's Berry Farm jam and switch up the colours for some fun.

Green Beans with Herb Dressing

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2005
I made this as a side dish for Thanksgiving once, and it worked out okay. I think it is a good concept overall, but the flavour is not quite right. Maybe I will try it again with less olive oil.

Brown Family's Favorite Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2005
I am not normally a fan of pumpkin pie, but this one is quite delicious. My guests have all said the same! I love the perfect blend of spices. So far I haven't tried the optional topping.

Cranberry Chutney I

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2005
I usually dislike the flavour of cranberries, but I love this recipe! That works out quite well, because I didn't feel right about making Thanksgiving dinner without cranberry sauce. It not only tastes great but also smells delicious when it's cooking.

Grandma Ruth's Stuffing

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2005
Very tasty with good flavour and texture. I found this recipe before I made my first huge Thanksgiving dinner, and I have never used anything else since. The stuffing mix I use is Mrs. Cubbison's brand. It always brings lots of compliments, even from people who say they usually hate stuffing.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2005
I absolutely love this recipe! This is definitely the best fate for all of my overripe bananas. The people who help me eat the bread always love it, too.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2005
I've permanently added this delicious apple pie to my annual Thanksgiving dinner menu, and I've also baked it to bring to work. Everyone who has tried it has loved it! I love how the lattice crust looks. The only warning I have is place some foil underneath it during baking because I've had some liquid bubble out and stick permanently to the bottom of my oven.

Grilled Rock Lobster Tails

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2005
Absolutely delicious! I used this marinade on the Brazilian lobster tails you can buy from Costco on the weekends after halving them and cooked them on my indoor/outdoor George Foreman grill. Next time I'll try it on my new charcoal grill and see if that makes them even better!

I don't eat beef myself, but I used this recipe to season a big grilled steak for my boyfriend, and he absolutely loved it. We will definitely be making it again.

Ibby's Grasshopper Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2005
This recipe is absolutely delicious! I first tried it at a friend's Thanksgiving gathering and decided to try making it myself the following year. The first time, my pie didn't have the light fluffy texture, but then I learned that whisking the whipping cream by hand makes a huge difference from using an electronic mixer. Using a store-bought chocolate cookie crust works well, too.

Daddy's Fried Corn and Onions

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2005
This recipe is part of my yearly Thanksgiving dinner menu as well as something I can make quickly any day. Everyone loves it! I usually add extra butter, and I also use Del Monte canned corn during the off season.

Honey Baked Chicken I

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2005
This chicken recipe is definitely one of my favourites! I usually use chicken thighs because my family likes dark meat, and sometimes I am more liberal with the seasonings. I normally serve it a simple side of white rice, but I've also paired it with grilled lobster as part of my boyfriend's birthday dinner. My friends also love when I make this recipe for them.

Buffalo Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2005
These are by far the most popular of the cookies I've brought to work or used in Christmas packages. They are the perfect mix between traditional oatmeal and regular chocolate chip cookies. I use butter instead of margarine and usually make them with walnuts.
