Fried Rice I

This is a good recipe, and the possibilities for variation are almost endless... But what's up with the 1/8 cup soy sauce? Wouldn't it have been easier to just say 2 tablespoons?

Mama Corleone's Sausage and Peppers

This was not a hit at my house. Turned out really dry. I added pasta water to loosen it, but it just never came together. I thought it might be better with a little tomato paste or something. Guess I'm just accustomed to my pasta having a cream or tomato based sauce.

Peanut Butter Pie XIX

I have made this several times now and find it totally addicting! I go right by the recipe, except sometimes I use flavored pie crusts. Nice treat to have handy in the freezer...Just cut off your portion and let thaw.

Hockey Pucks

Sweet Fried Summer Squash

I usually make fried squash the traditional southern way, dredging first in milk/egg mixture, then in corn meal. Tonight I was out of eggs, so found this recipe and it turned out nicely. While I still prefer my traditional version, I wouldn't hesitate to make this again for a change of pace.

Simply Elegant Steak and Rice

Wow! What a quick and easy meal. I cubed the meat and sauted it together with 1/2 a bell pepper and 1/2 an onion. This made a nice gravy that I seasoned up with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Put in the soup and sherry, simmer about an hour, served over white rice...My son and I both loved it.

Candied Chicken Breasts

This was easy, tasty, and used ingredients on hand. I scaled to 4 servings, and used my 9x9 baking dish. This cut cooking time 25 minutes.
