Pot Roast in Foil

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2011
Best ever pot roast recipe. I did make a few changes. Used a 4lb rump roast, Golden Mushroom Soup, a can of Campbells Beef Gravy and 2T cooking Sherry. Also put a sliced onion on top. Cooked as directed. The meat was so tender it was like cutting butter. Gravy was spectacular on mashed potatoes. This is my new 'go to' pot roast recipe.

Oreo™ Cookie Bark

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
I took another cook's advice and used the Mint Oreo's. I used Ghirardelli 60% Cacao Bittersweet Chocolate chips and everyone is asking for the recipe. This is a keeper. I'll try the original way next. A tip: if you are melting the chips in the microwave in a glass bowl spray a little Pam on a piece of wax paper and swoosh around the inside of the bowl. Far less chocolate will stick to the bowl.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2007
Made this for Fathers Day and it was a huge hit with the family. Next time I will double the sauce and use penne pasta instead of angel hair. I'm already thinking pork chops with this sauce. It would be good on rice too.

Pork Steaks

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2005
This was really good. I didn't have any green onions so I used a red onion. Mixed everything together in a big skillet (except the steaks) and began cooking. I thought I turned the burner off but when this wonderful fragrance permeated the air I knew I burned the onions. A good thing, as Martha says. My husband and son loved it. I did too. Thanks Babylove, this is a keeper.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2004
These cookies are the best! Never to leave well enough alone I added about 2/3 of a 16oz jar of maraschino cherries - drained/dryed with a paper towel & chopped. I also added a little of the juice too - maybe a couple of tsp. Made a great cookie even better. They tasted like the chocolate covered cherry cookies I use to make but took a lot less time. I also used chocolate pudding instead of the vanilla

Cheesy Zucchini Casserole I

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2004
Instead of bread I used Pepperidge Farms Herb Stuffing Mix. Like others I sauteed the onions till soft and lightly golden. I didn't have Cheddar cheese so I used Colby/Jack and it was tasty! Will make again. Will use more zucchini/probably 3 Cups.

Chicken Tortilla Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2003
We loved this soup! I didn't add the oregano because that seems like an Italian herb. Instead I added cumin. Be sure to use crushed tomatoes and not whole or chopped. The crushed is thicker, the others are too watery.

Irish Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2002
Great recipe! My son-in-law loved it and my husband who normally doesn't like stews loved it too. I did make some changes...instead of onion I used leek and I used 2 white potatoes and one large sweet potato. I also cut the chicken while still raw to avoid shredding. I will make this again!

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2002
Simply the best! I made some for my husbands company picnic. A few others made some fudge too. At the end of the day they were taking home leftover fudge but Aunt Teen's fudge was gone. Thanks Kelly and Aunt Teen.

Peanut Butter Vegetable Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2002
Great soup recipe!!! Even my parents loved first they didn't want it because of the peanut butter but they ate the whole bowl and asked for more. A nice change from plain old chicken noodle soup.
