Easy Corn Pudding

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2006
The first time I made this recipe I added two eggs like other reviewers suggested and it was fabulous. The second time I made it (this time for a crowd) I forgot to add the second egg, but it was still delicious. When I make it again I will add the second egg though; it was better.

Delicious. I used one stick of butter, evaporated milk instead of regular milk, and a bit more salt

I put them under the broiler. It took about 15 minutes for the skin to turn black.

Jamie's Black Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2005
delicious and so easy to make. I don't like peppers or onions so instead I added some canned corn. It was very flavorful- I think the kind of enchilada sauce used might make the difference. I used old el paso "hot" enchilada sauce. I still cant believe how easy it was.

Corn-Stuffed Tomatoes

Reviewed: May 6, 2006
I used miniature muffin pans and set the tomatoes on each muffin hole. This kept the tomatoes in place and allowed for easy removal (since the tomatoes were too large to fit inside the muffin holes). This also allowed extra juice to drain into the muffin cavity. The presentation was beautiful and the tomatoes were snatched up quickly at a neighborhood picnic. The flavor was bland. Next time I will add herbs or something to give it more flavor.

It's great to see a recipe like this one. A lot of people assume that this sort of thing is common knowledge, but it really isn't.

Whatch You Want Watermelon

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
You can't even taste the vodka. We tested it out again with really cheap vodka and still couldnt taste it, which was amazing. Watch out, you will get drunk and not see it coming. Use seedless watermelon- the seeds got annoying. def give it hours to soak.

One Pot Pasta

Reviewed: May 17, 2006
I loved the one pot idea. I thought it was tangy and mushy. I wouldn't cook it as long again. Next time I will add a little more sugar and top with cheese.

Slow Cooker Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2010
incredible. I put all ingrediants in the crockpot except the cream and basil. I added those ingredients at the end. I doubled the sauce but did not double the amount of cream, so essentially I used half the cream recommended. It was fantastic. Oh and I used the sundried tomatoes that come in a jar of oil since that was all the grocery store sold. It was still fantastic!

I added almost a stick of butter, a little garlic salt, and skipped the nutmeg. I also used frozen spinach since I didnt have fresh and it still tasted great.

Chicken Papadoris

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2011
I was enticed by the description that showed up in my search results, but when I clicked on the recipe, the description said "a delightful recipe with a touch of curry..." which made the recipe sound boring so I am not gonna try it. Too many people change their descriptions once they get published and they change it for the worse. Leave it the way it was, that was why you were flagged for test kitchen review. I cant make my voice heard without rating the dish, so I will give it a neutral 3 stars.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: May 25, 2007
yuck! the refrigerater biscuits really ruined the meal. I guess I am just used to home made dumplings... what a difference in flavor. The refirgerator biscuits really cheapened the flavor.

Easy Caramelized Onion Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2007
I made this in the crockpot. I cut the liquid amount significantly and added beef bouillon ("better than bouillon" brand)and a drop of soy sauce, a drop of worcestershire sauce, and two cloves of garlic. I did not add salt since soy sauce is salty. I added mushrooms to make it look more sophisticated. I served it with wild rice and asparagus. The rice wentperfectly with the chops but the asparagus didnt seem to compliment the meal too well.

Mom's Yummy Sweet Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2006
I made this for picky eaters who will not eat onions or celery. I boiled the onions and celery for a while and then removed them from the butter. I didnt have turkey on hand so I made chicken stock out of "better then boullion." It was packed with flavor.

Michelle's Famous Washed Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2006
Based on another reviewer's recommendation, I squeezed juice from two oranges to get about a 1/2 cup of juice and used my potatoes peeler to scrape small bits of the orange peel into the mixture. the water was reduced to 2/3 since orange juice was added. I also added a bit of pumkin pie spice since it is a combination of all the right spices. I wish I doubled the recipe.
