About this Cook
I am a vegetarian always surrounded by meat lovers, so I always have to make two versions of every meal. I love to cook savory dishes that make my guests thank me from the bottom of their stomachs.
My favorite things to cook
Healthy versions of favorite restaurant dishes, vegetables, homemade ravioli, mashed potatoes, sauces, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, chili, stir fry, chicken and dumplings, gumbos, chicken pot pie, taquitos.
My favorite family cooking traditions
chicken and dumplings. chocolate peanut butter oatmeal cookies.
My cooking triumphs
Mastering home made pasta, pizza, and bread, without the use of any machines.
My cooking tragedies
I have not ventured into dessert territory yet. Lucky for me I have a savory tooth, rather than sweet.

Chicken Papadoris
I was enticed by the description that showed up in my search results, but when I clicked on the recipe, the description said "a delightful recipe with a touch of curry..." which made the recipe sound boring so I am not gonna try it. Too many people change their descriptions once they get published and they change it for the worse. Leave it the way it was, that was why you were flagged for test kitchen review. I cant make my voice heard without rating the dish, so I will give it a neutral 3 stars.

Chicken Marsala Florentine
It was good, but the sun dried tomatoes canceled out the Marsala wine. Sun dried tomatoes have a very powerful flavor. Chicken broth could be used in place of the Marsala and it would taste the same. Next time I will save my money and use chicken broth instead.

Lemon Cream Pasta with Chicken
This was fantastic. Even though I will make some changes next time, I am still giving it five stars because the flavor was so perfect. Next time I will not cook the pasta as long as I did. By 17 minutes of cooking it was already getting mushy. That is my only complaint about the recipe. The flavors were amazing! I seasoned the chicken as suggested and then pan fried it. I added the cream to the pan to first scrape up the bits and chicken juices, then added the pasta. Wow was it delicious. Even with the noodles falling apart, it was amazing.
