Little Nut Cups

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
I made these exactly as written and they turned out great! My grandma used to make a similiar recipe and I always had some trouble with the results. These came out perfectly. They were a big hit at the party I took them to. Will be my new recipe for nut cups....thanks for sharing.

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
This was very good. Added frozen okra and subbed smoked sausage for the andouille. Added the amounts of spices listed and was not too spicy...5 year old even ate it and loved it.

Beer Bread I

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
I just made this bread to go along with gumbo...so delicious. I had everything handy (used other users suggestion re: making your own self-rising flour) and added a little more sugar. Thanks for the great recipe.

Tim's Sausage Stew

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2010
Really simple and delicious. My 5 year old goes in spurts with his eating, and when he's not eating much for more than a couple days I make him this soup. He absolutely loves it and usually asks for seconds.

Pistachio Crusted Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2007
This is fantastic! I don't think any sauce is needed...the chicken is so moist and flavorful from dipping it in the honey mustard and then you get the crunchy, savory taste from the pistachios. With the full cup of chopped pistachios, I definitely tasted them and it added a great flavor. Excellent recipe.

Sweet Potato Casserole II

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2006
I brought this to a family Christmas party this past Sunday and it was a huge hit. Already got requests to make for Christmas Eve. The topping is great. I used a bit less sugar and whipped the sweet potatoes with an electric mixer-they came out very light and fluffy.

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2006
Made this for dinner last night....outstanding. Slightly sweet because of the hiney, yet tangy from the dijon. Excellent change of pace from the grilled salmon I normally make. The only changes I made were to season the filets with salt & pepper prior to adding the mustard/honey mixture, & I added a little olive oil to the breadcrumb mixture because I wanted it to get brown and crispy. Thanks for the great recipe.

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2006
Very good and super easy. Was a little bland, but I love spicy food. Added some BBQ sauce and it made an awesome sandwich. Also didn't have hawaiian salt so I used gray salt. Purchased some Hawaiian salt at Trader Joe's to use when I make this again next time.

So great. I originally got this same recipe from an old boyfriend's mom, so I've been making it for a while, but misplaced my copy so I was glad to see it here. Even onion haters love this one!
