Louisiana Shrimp Creole II

The meal was stunning!! Our whole family loved it. The only changes I made were that I left out the green bell pepper (no one likes that in our family), increased the garlic and instead of adding chilli, I reduced the tomato sauce by 1/4 of a cup and replaced that with a South African sauce called Peri-Peri sauce which is made with chillies and commonly eaten with seafood. Even my daughter, who does not like spicy food, devoured it and, dare I mention it, ...licked her plate clean when she was finished (she's 11)!!!!

Goulash I

It was a nice & easy dish, but a little bland. We also don't like as much pasta. If I make it again, I will be cutting down on the amount of pasta suggested.

Cheesy Zucchini Casserole I

This was the first time I got my 13 year old son to eat zucchini without a grumble! It was delicious. I served it with marinated grilled chicken steaks, cherry tomatoes and cucumber for an easy midweek meal!

Barbequed Marinated Flank Steak

Unbelievably tasty!! I never knew flank could taste as good as this and be as tender as this. Here in NZ flank is mainly used as sausagemeat, so I had to specially order it!!! I have passed this recipe on to my butcher too. Thank you for sharing this.

Honey Of An Oatmeal Bread

Much to my surprise, especially after reading some of the more negative reviews, the bread came out great in my bread machine! A little on the heavy moist side, but the taste was great. My husband who is a white bread addict loved it too!!

Best Ever Meatloaf with Brown Gravy

My family are not meatloaf fans, but they all loved it!! I had no idea what was meant by "minced onions" (I live in New Zealand) so I just chopped up a quarter onion with 3 fat cloves of garlic in a food processor. I also used a Honey Garlic chilli sauce and it wasn't hot at all. My 10 year old loved it and she can't handle spicy food at all! If it is too hot for some, replace some of the chilli sauce with tomato ketchup. I loved this so much that I have now e-mailed this recipe to friends in Australia and South Africa! Thanks Holly!!
