Fig and Olive Tapenade

I made this as an appetizer for Easter dinner. The combination of the figs and olives intrigued me to try it out. It was easy enough to prepare and I did as suggested and let the flavors marry overnight. It was not a hit with my guests, however. As one stated, "there's just too much going on". With the garlic, cayenne, olives and figs, the combination of flavors is just too much. It could probably be good with some revision/deletions but as it stands, I won't be making this again.
