About this Cook
I'm an 19 year old Israeli soldier in the Israeli Navy. I was born in Boston, moved back to Israel, and lived two years in Japan when I was very young. After spending most of my life in Israel, I spent my sophomore year in Singapore, and a summer in Vienna, Austria, right after graduating from high school.
My favorite things to cook
Anything involving dough. Cakes, cookies, bars, pies, savory snacks, everything! I also like cooking Thai, Italian and Indian.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't really have any cooking traditions. The closest thing we have is the unwritten agreement between me and mom, where I cook and she cleans. Works great.
My cooking triumphs
Won 1st place in my old school's county fair baking contest. I baked a fresh lemon pound cake, and decorated it with marzipan fruits. Came out beautifully.
My cooking tragedies
Plenty of them, I just prefer to forget them.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
Very nice. Used a flaky pie crust (from this website), think will use a smooth pie crust next time. Pretty easy recipe, needs cinnamon and more spices next time, but will make this again for sure.

Honey Baked Chicken II
As delicious as it is easy. That is, VERY. SO simple and quick, and the taste is amazing! Followed the recipe and didn't add the other user's suggestions, came out beautiful.

Moussaka
Good. No need to add an egg to the beef mixture, for sure. Red wine- very important, for too much tomato flavor causes the meat part to taste more like bolognese than moussaka. Loved the bechamel sauce, will definitely make this again with lots more of the spices (cinnamon and nutmeg).
