DOLE Mandarin Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2005
I wanted more of a restaurant style salad, so I altered it. I used a spinach blend, and I found a great oriental dressing (Bernstein's Light) The dressing had only 1.5 grams of fat, and was oh so tasty. I also used the Dole mandarin oranges, and La Choy rice noodles. Put in my big wooden bowl, and tossed. It was better than the what I've eaten out places. Great with any Asian cuisine.

Go Girl Hot Szechwan Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2005
I love Szechwan, and this recipe hit the spot. It was a great candle light dinner for the husband & I. Couldn't find the chile paste, or fresh chile peppers at my local grocery. So I used chili powder. I left out the sherry. The oranges were horrible at the store, so I end up using McCormick orange peel (1/2 tablespoon) I followed everything else to a que, and it turned out great. Not watery, mildely spicy, but does take extra time, but worth it in my opinion. I served my dish with steamed rice, and a Mandarin Orange Oriental salad I made. Will be making again..

Ambrosia Salad II

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2005
Great Recipe, but had to omit some ingredients so husband could eat it. I used the mandarin oranges, pineapple, marshmallows, and added bananas to individual bowls. Since the banana turns it's color overnight. I also substituted sourcream instead of whipped topping. I really enjoyed having this with my meal for dinner, as well as husband. Easy & Fast to make. Will make recipe again.

Restaurant-Style Hashbrown Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2005
The husband, and I really enjoyed this recipe. I changed the recipe a bit to suit us. I used shredded hashbrowns, and thawed them in microwave for quicker preparation. I used Fat Free butter instead of real butter. That little change made the recipe not greasy at all, like other reviews I read. I also sprayed some Fat Free butter on top of dish before cooking. I added some Canadian bacon, and a couple slices of crumbled bacon I cooked on the George Foreman grill just too add a breakfast touch to the recipe. I end up baking it 50 minutes at 350 degree. If don't want all the fat, and grease. Try the Kraft Fat Free butter, it will make a difference. I will be making this recipe again. Best Hashbrown recipe of the 3 different one's I've made.
