Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole
I make this with canned sweet potatoes and It turns out great. I took the advice of another reviewer: "One large can (40 oz I think) is just over 4 cups (I use the whole can), but the trick is to boil them in the syrup for awhile to get them kinda mushy, then drain and mash them in a bowl…" This is good advice and I get rave reviews on this recipe. I use heavy cream instead of milk and I half the sugar as they can be pretty sweet if using canned. I don't always make the topping and they are still fantastic. This recipe is easy and so, so good :)

Czech Cabbage Dish
This recipe calls for regular pork bacon but we don't eat pork so I made this with turkey bacon. It still tasted pretty good but I think the fat and flavor from regular bacon would have mellowed the flavor of the cabbage and vinegar a little better and would have made for a better blend. I Added about 3 teaspoons of sugar to balance it out. It is a very good recipe though next time I will add a little butter and more bacon and salt than this recipe calls for when using turkey bacon.

Creamy Broccoli Soup
I made this soup tonight and it is excellent! I doubled the recipe based on another review and it was just enough for our family of four. I had to add a little more flour mixed with a bit of water just to thicken it up a little bit but that may have been because I double the recipe, otherwise, I followed this recipe exactly and it is superb.
