Grilled Fish Steaks

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2012
love the marinade... used on cod.... perhaps could half the oil.. i shouldn't have spooned sauced over finished dinner as the result from marinade and cooking was plenty... great, great flavor.

Baby BLT

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2012
I made with 4 medium vine tomatoes - chopped up the tomato innards which were hollowed out and mixed into the salad. Made a lovely light lunch - eat it like a very juicy apple or civilized with a fork and knife depending on company... :) Great for the low carbers

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
This was very, very good. Followed it pretty exact. Not sure if it's worth all the effort to make the sauce as you can buy nice store sauce these days, but it was great satisfaction making myself.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
Very good. I used a can of cream of mush, a can of cream of chicken and a can of cream of celery - 5 frozen chicken breasts and omitted butter. Topped with chicken broth instead of water. Added salt at the end and probably shouldn't have done that. I will also add carrots and corn next time as I served it over corn and it was delicious.

This was delicious and easy. I followed exactly as the recipe states and used a bag of frozen oriental veggies. Would make again.

Garden Fresh Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2007
We loved this - I used fresh tomatoes from the garden and a little basil from the garden. I used the spiced cloves (my husband found slightly overpowering but he still raved about it) so I will use less next time. I used a teaspoon of crushed garlic and a blender instead of a food mill.

This was good but I used fat free cheeses and replaced with ricotta. Next time I'll use part skin or whole milk cheess.

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2007
This was pretty good - my husband liked it. I used "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" instead of real butter so maybe that's why I didn't give it a 5 star. I also omitted the lemon and used basil instead of parsley. I would make it again - full leaded!

Easy Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2007
This was really good - I made some adjustments: Used fat free cream of mushroom and fat free sour cream. I sauteed the onions and mushrooms prior to baking and topped with Lipton onion mix (half of the envelope since it's very salty), bread crumbs, and low fat parmesan cheese.

Awesome Roast Beef

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2007
This was unbelievable tasting and easy. I used other people's suggestions by using a can of golden mushroom soup, cream of mushroom soup, can of beef broth and an onion soup packet. I also lined the bottom with carrots, onions and mushrooms. Mixed all the liquids first then topped over the beef. At the end, I strained the veggies and served them as a side dish along with mashed potatoes and made a gravy out of the what was left in the pot. Total time in the crock pot was 9 hours for 3.5 pounds. Leftovers were eaten up in a flash the next day too! Delicious and easy!

Chicken Breasts in Caper Cream Sauce

LOVED THIS - Husband loved too. I minced and sauteed 2 cloves in the butter and chicken which added extra garlic flavor. Will try reduced fat cream next time.... but am afraid to sacrifice flavor!! This is a great recipe!

Honey Glazed Pea Pods and Carrots

Good even without honey - as I was making this, I realized my honey had gone off and I couldn't use it. Will try again with honey, but was good with just butter.

Baked Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2007
My husband LOVED - he's from Ireland where you "don't mess with the potatoes" and even though I "messed with the pototes" - he gave it 5 stars! I did omit the onion, since that would be sac relig to the hubby. I would have liked onion.
