Roasted Garlic Grilled Vegetables

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2005
Use whatever veggies you like. We tried portobello mushrooms, zuchini, aparagas and red peppers and spanish onions. Used a grilling basket with a lid that keeps them all in place. Very salty, don't go overboard with the seasoning. Really good. I don't measure anything just toss with oil and sprinkle all over but not completely covering the veggies.

I only had Liptons Roasted Onion & Garlic Soup. I also used light sour cream and light mayo. Four adults tried it and we all agreed it was OK. Michele, Cambridge, Ontario

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2005
This was good but "Pork Chops and Scalloped POtatoes" by Monica was just as good and less work. If you make the about mentioned recipe reverse the cooking of the potatoes & pork. Pork on bottom and sliced potatoes on top.

Moist and good. Make two larger loafs instead of three. Needed to bake at least 1hour and 15 mins. in my oven. Gave a loaf to the neighbor, they loved it. Probably won't make again for a long time, too many other recipes to try on this site!!! Thanks, Michele, Cambridge, Ontario

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2005
Used 1 1/2 lb. of meat so I added an extra 50% more spices. Also doubled the gravy. The gravy was awesome and went really well with mashed potatoes. Next time I will use extra lean ground beef to cut down on the fat. Michele, Cambridge Ontario

The Best Double Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2004
I have tried at least 7 different recipes for cookies from this site and everyone likes these the best. They do come out really flat. I use a heaping teaspoon for each cookie. Also used parchment paper to cook them on for easy clean up. Thanks Shannon!!! Michele, Cambridge ontario

Hamburger Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2004
Everyone liked this recipe. I didn't pay much attention to the onion soup quantity. I used one package of Liptons Onion soup which was enough. I also used 1 tablespoon of beef granules and only used 2 cups of water. I did use 4 cups also of the chicken broth. It looked runny at the beginning so I thought 2 cups of water would be enough. I should have used all 4 cups of water. I also used a can of tomato soup instead of tomato sauce. I was worried the soup would have too much of an onion flavour but it didn't. Even my picky 15 yr.old really liked it. I browned the meat in a frying pan and then put everything in a slow cooker for 5 hours on high. Added the macaroni the last hour. Easy and cheap, served with dinner rolls. Michele, Ontario, Canada

Beef and Bean Chimichangas

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2004
Everyone liked these. Followed the recipe exactly but I guess I made them too big because I only could fit 6 on the cookie sheet. I had a small bowl of the meat mixture left. I will serve the leftover meat on some tortillas with cheese melted. Thanks, will make these again. Michele, Cambridge, Ontario

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2004
Very good!!! Used 1 cup water and 1 cup chicken broth. It would have been too thick with just 1 cup of water as other suggested. Used 1 pkg. of Old El Paso Taco Spice and 1 freshly chopped jalepeno instead of green chili peppers, which I couldn't get. My kids loved it with the a 3 cheese blend on top (mozz+cheddar+montery jack). I put the cheese and the sour cream on mine. YUMMY!! This recipe is very similar to chili. Will make again, thanks.
