Curried Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2004
A good basic curry chicken. Served over rice. Kind of plain. Might look for another recipe that has more stuff in it like almonds, raisins. Still a good recipe. My son and hubby munched the leftovers the next day. Michele, cambridge, ontario

Pork Chops to Live For

I used a med. onion and followed the recipe exactly. Found the onion flavour too strong. Was ok but I don't think I will make this again, too many recipes to try. Michele, cambridge ontario

Shrimp and Asparagus

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2004
Omitted half the butter and used juice of a whole lemon. Added some hot pepper flakes. We found it a bit dry, there wasn't enough sauce for us. Was a bit bland, probably won't make it again...sorry. Michele, cambridge ontario

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2004
Very good and chewy. 12 minutes of cooking the cookies don't look ready they still looked wet in the middle and they don't brown easily. I cooked them for 14 mins.ish. They were barely brown but they were cooked. Everyone liked them a lot. Will make again, I might try substituting yogurt for the butter, which would make them way healthier. michele, cambridge, ontario

Garlic Feta Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2003
Good. I added 3-4 garlic cloves, can't remember exactly (was drinking wine) :) Very garlicky, I think I prefer something thicker. Probably will make again but will try others from this site also. Thanks, Michele, cambridge, ontario

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2003
This was very good. I read the reviews first and made some changes. I used moose meat, I'm not allowed to buy beef when my hubby brings home the "moose"!! Can't even tell the difference anyway!!! I didn't pre-cook the meat, don't really need to. I also added 1 can of beef broth which meant I had to double the cornstarch. It still could have used a little more cornstarch. Also added the peppers the last 1-2 hours before it was ready. Cooked on high in a 4 quart slow cooker for 4 1/2 hours. Very yummy, even picky kids loved it. Served over egg noodles. Chicken Fiesta Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2003
Very good and healthy. The cans of beans and corn were bigger than called for so I added more salsa, probably double. Even my picky son liked it, all the men suggested a jalepeno pepper to spice things up a little. Even without the extra spice it was really good. I also used 3 chicken breasts because they were smallish. Michele, ontario, canada :)

Best Bruschetta Ever

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2003
Excellent brushetta. Didn't have fresh basil but will use it next time. I assume the olive oil "divided" means using the second 2 Tbsp. for brushing on the slices of bread before browning them. Definate keeper, Thanks Loll Michele, Cambridge, Ontario

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2003
The whole family liked this one. The meat just fell apart. We used the juice to dip the meat into. I used a cheaper cut of meat that didn't have to much fat on it. Very good, will make again. Michele, ontario canada

BLT Salad

This salad was good but I don't think I will make it again. Unless you don't care about how much fat is in it. With all that Mayo and bacon in it, I felt guilty eating it.

Beef Barley Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2003
I read the reviews and decided to use 2 lbs. cubed stewing meat. I put everything into the slow cooker except the barley and bay leaf. I also put in 2 med. size potatoes and 1 tbsp worchestire sauce. I used about 1 1/2 cups of peas and 1 cup of green beans (frozen) instead of the mixed veggies. I Have a 4 quart slow cooker, the soup was right to the top and was bubbling over a few times. I cooked this on high because it seemed to take hours to get going. I left it on high for approx. 7 hours. If you have a huge slow cooker and there is lots of room leftover then I would cook this on low for around 5 hours. I think I need the 6 quart cooker now so I can increase the size of this soup, it is excellent according to my family, and I think so to. Served warm buns with it. Michele, ontario, canada
