Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2008
Wonderful recipe! Instead of beef bouillon, I used a can of beef~the same amount. It had a great aroma and tasted wonderful. I also increased the cornstarch just a tad to thicken the sauce.

Favorite Cabbage Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2008
This is an amazing recipe! It's simple and very tasty. I did omit the bacon, sugar and vinager to get rid of the tangy taste, and it still was great.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
I loved this recipe. I have always had trouble with my crust staying on my chicken, and with this recipe, it stayed on very well. I did have to modify the recipe a bit though. First, I used crumbled up club butter crackers for the bread crumbs, garlic powder instead of cloves, and grated parmesan cheese. It was so flavorable. Thank you for sharing this recipe

Magic Cookie Bars I

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2006
These are my most favorite holiday desserts to make. I however decreased the butter from 1/2 C. to 1/4 C. as I found it too greasy. I also added one small bag of butterscotch morsels along with it.

Great flavor! I topped my casserole with crushed Corn Flakes to give it a nice finish. You can also use Ritz Crackers which are just as good

This is such a tasty comfort dish that is great during the fall. I use Colby cheese instead when I make this. I also add artichoke hearts for a kick sometimes

Poppy Seed Chicken II

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2006
I love this recipe. This is one dish that I remember from TN. After having my daughter I had dinners delivered for a week and a friend brought this dish over. I loved it so much. It's a fabulous base recipe that you can jazz up in SO many ways. I like to add garlic, fresh pepper, cheese, white wine, and onions for instance in my dish.

I love these things! They are a classic from my childhood when my mother used to make them. I don't think anything goes together better than peanut butter and chocolate

This is a good classic recipe. I added one small onion, a dash of Lawry's salt, and celery seed instead of the diced celery.

Banana Rum Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2006
This is a great recipe! It puts a spin on your typical rum cake. I prepared mine and then cooked it in a bunt cake pan.

Oven Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2006
This was SO good! I used 1envelope of dry beef onion soup mix instead, cream of chicken instead of mushroom(not a fan of mushrooms)put slits into roast and inserted fresh garlic, white wine rather than dry vermouth. A few dashes of worcestershire sauce. Baked on 275 for 5 hrs. Came out fabulous!
