Best Marinara Sauce Yet

Followed the directions to a T and is is the worst sauce I have ever made. Was excited to make it because of the reviews, but I had to doctor this up quite a bit for it to be eaten. Sorry. Won't make this again.

This is fantastic. I boiled the potatos in the microwave to save time and I added fresh garlic, chopped jalapenos and green chiles for extra kick. We like things spicy in this house. We fried the eggs in the bacon grease and topped the 'hash' with them. Just as good, if not better than any greasy spoon out there. YUM!

Fried Okra

I made many modifications: Used 1 egg with 1 tablespoon of milk for the dredge. For the coating, I used 1/3 cup of flour, 1/3 cup of cornmeal and 1 tablespoon of cajun seasoning. Pinch of salt and pepper. Some of the breading will come off in the process. I personally don't like a ton of coating like the kind they serve in cafeterias. This will make a lighter coating and come out great.

Margaritas

Tasty. But might I suggest using Sauza blanco or gold tequila. It's the #1 selling tequila in Mexico. (I think that says alot!!!) It's really a great tequila.

Kim's Macaroni Salad

This was fantastic! I was purposly looking for a pasta salad recipe that was out of the ordinary and this did the trick. This is slightly spicy, which I love, and so simple to make. I did use pickled jalapenos and threw in some pickled hot cauliflower and added red pepper for color. But the sauce portion, I didn't change a thing and it was wonderful! Will make a staple at my house from now on.
