Guacamole

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2008
Delicious and so easy to make! I used a little less salt, about half the amount, because it tasted a little too salty before I chilled it. After standing in the fridge for about 3 hours the saltiness mellowed and was just right. I doubled the recipe, and it was all eaten with enthusiastic praise from everyone!

Black Bean Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2005
As written it's only 3 stars...but with modifications, I'd give it 5! I bumped up the amount of chili powder and cumin to 2 TB chili powder, and 1 TB cumin. Also, I didnt use a food processor on the beans since I don't have one. Instead I drained them then mashed them with a potato masher and then added them to the soup, after adding the tomatoes which I also drained, reserving the liquid in case I needed more

Broken Window Glass

VERY easy and tasted great, although it does take a little time since you have to wait for the jello to set. I think this would probably be easy for kids if you used cool whip in place of the packet of dream whip.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2001
I made this in my bread machine and it came out great! (I did find that I needed more flour than the recipe called for) I used a stone to bake it on and it made a VERY thick crust pizza! Yum!

Soft, Moist and Gooey Cinnamon Buns

This recipe was super easy. I have never made cinnamon buns before and I was very happy to let my bread maker do the hard part!

Very good cookies but I think I would boil them for one minute as these did not set up well and were very gooey

Sand Art Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2001
I have to agree with an earlier post, too much stuff! I think I would leave out the M&M's even though the mini M&M's did look pretty in the jar. They baked a little dry, maybe better as a bar or with more butter?

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2001
YUMMY!!! I rolled these in sugar to give them a little color when I put them in christmas cookie gifts. Everyone loved these! I made the dough about 2 weeks early and froze it before making them and the cookies came out just fine.

Potato Candy

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2000
My grandmother and I used to make this candy when I was a little girl, I love it! It tastes great with crunchy peanut butter too! Not exactly the quickest candy to make, it takes a lot of patience working with the potato and sugar(and a lot of sugar), but really worth it in the end!

Irish Cream Chocolate Cheesecake

the recipes came out great, except I did have a small crack down the center, I covered this with a thin layer on the top of the cake and it still tasted great! I will be making this again!
