I love to try new dishes- I try new recipes about 4 or 5 times a week, usually. It's rare that we find something that we want on a very regular basis.
My favorite things to cook
Breads, pasta, soup, pizza, chicken pot pie, beef stew
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making sausage cheese balls, Ritz peanut butter sandwiches covered in white chocolate, and Snickerdoodles at Xmas. Also, recently, my Mom and I have started baking together a couple of times a month. Last Christmas, we spent an entire day baking multiple batches of 7 different types of cookies to give as gifts- it was so much fun!
My cooking triumphs
I've perfected several favorites, such as Linguine w/ Clam Sauce, the ultimate White Pizza, and several ways of cooking tilapia.
My cooking tragedies
I tried to fry chicken on the stovetop once in college for a big football game (luckily it was just for my future husband and I- so I didn't embarrass myself too much). It never really turned out at all, much less badly. We ended up throwing it all out and going to KFC.
