I am a USAF brat and grew up in Japan, Turkey, and Greece. I come from a family of great cooks. I am married and have 2 kids, and I love to see the looks on my family's faces when I've made a great new recipe or an old favorite.I also love to spoil my clients with special treats.
My favorite things to cook
Crunchy, chewy cookies, pies. I also love to make great roasts,with flavorful gravy and creamy mashed potatoes(Grandma), medditerranean dishes, oriental, Italion, and soups of any kind.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family's all time favorite is Geoza, from Japan. I can NEVER make enough.Fish fries and fried chicken.
My cooking triumphs
A three tiered fresh strawberry cake for my daughters birthday and a three tiered carrot cake for my husbands. My own toll house and sugar cookies.Geoza and my roast chicken W/gravy and my chicken and dumplings.Sub sandwiches for fishing/camping.Low carb chocolate drizzle for strawberries and real whipped cream.
My cooking tragedies
My first Lasagna fell face first on the floor taking it out of the oven. And my first attempts at roasts and gravies(DRY/TASTELESS)!Arrowroot powder to thicken shrimp scampi, not a good idea.
