About this Cook
27 year old married white female seeks the perfect meal. Living in Covington, LA and recently changed professions to personal financial planner. I am my only client though...
My favorite things to cook
Seafood (shrimp, salmon and pastas with crabmeat), Steak, Veggies of all sorts, and of course... soups.
My favorite family cooking traditions
It's really more of an eating tradition... we race to see who can finish dinner first. As a result, until a couple of years ago, I never really could enjoy food and my friends thought I learned to eat in the armed forces, or prison. These days I actually enjoy food...
My cooking triumphs
Salmon, fried porkchops, pork ribs, various pasta and veggie dishes.
My cooking tragedies
I once created a "fusion" style dessert consisting of vanilla pudding (non-instant) and a saucepan. The saucepan could not be saved.

American Lasagna
The flavor of this recipe was fantastic, however it was a little drier than I like my lasagna. Next time I will only use 9 lasagna noodles and some of the water from the pasta in the sauce as recommended by others. Thanks for the recipe, I will be trying this again.

Angel Chicken Pasta
I'm giving this one 5 stars for my husband and roommate. I feel that it is well deserving of 4-1/2 but that it should be made with at thicker pasta than angel hair. The sauce was delicious, but just too think for angel hair. I added slices of onion and mushroom before covering the baking dish with sauce. Great recipe with modifications!

Cajun Style Meatloaf
Awesome... I substituted mild italian sausage for andouille and fit the entire loaf into a 5 x 9 pan. I had to pour off a little grease after baking and blot the loaf with a paper towel before slicing, but after that the appearance, taste and texture was out of this world! I served with garlic mashed red potatoes. Thanks Bill... I am making again later this week. This has become my favorite meatloaf, and hence, my only meatloaf.
