Guinness® Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2013
This was a great recipe for our St. Patrick's day gathering. I've made a double batch twice in 3 days time, once with normal sugar called for and once with 1/2 the sugar and both were equally great. Personally, I didn't notice a difference between the two. Both times they were done after only 10-15 minutes after turning down the oven temp. Simply amazing served warm with butter and honey. Everyone loved it!

Loaded Fruit Smoothie

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2010
I make this smoothie several times a week to help get more fruit in my diet. It tastes great and is filling enough to replace my normal breakfast or quick lunch. Very forgiving recipe to alter fruit preferences and works just as well with or without the yogurt and/or powder mix too.

Original Irish Cream

MMmmmmmm! I did cut the whiskey amount to only 1 1/2 cups but it still turned out great. We kept in a canning jar and shook up before using. Was delicious on the rocks and in coffee.

Parmesan Fondue

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
This was so delicious! It was easily eaten between 3 people as the main dish, and could have eaten more. Served it with red and yellow bell peppers, cubed rosemary bread and granny smith apples (my favorite choice) Next time I plan to rub the pot with a fresh garlic clove first.

Brandied Orange and Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
A great cranberry sauce! A bit time consuming getting the zest of 8 oranges (I did a double batch and only did 6 oranges) but well worth the effort. Also used the juice from zested oranges. Has a great orange taste and the brandy really brings it all together. I make a new cranberry dish every year but might have to keep with this one...it got lots of compliments! New comments (one batch recipe): this year we didn't have any orange juice on hand so I used only 1 cup of the orange water. Also used 1 cup white sugar and 1 cup brown sugar. The bag of fresh cranberries was about 4 cups and it boiled into a nice consistancy in about 15 minutes.

Hearty Vegetable Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
I love this recipe! It has become my stapel lasagna recipe for over 6 years now. I will sometimes add browned meat/hamburger to give a meaty version but everything else stays the same. Even though we are not mushroom eaters we still eat them in this! You can also try using the food processor to blend up the vegetables for those picky kid eaters. Makes it more of a thick hearty sauce vs chunky sauce.

Green Grape Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2008
GREAT recipe! My friend made this for a party and my husband and I didn't send any leftovers home with anyone as we wanted it for ourselves, hehe. She used both red and green grapes and topped it with slivered almonds. Delicious!

Caramel Snack Mix

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2008
Great recipe! Always a crowd pleaser. Even better when you add a bag of the chocolate/caramel swirl chips to make it a bit chocolatey. Just melt it right in with the rest of the ingredients. You must continue to stir this about every 15 minutes after it comes out of the oven to prevent it from forming into a large clump (for about 1 hour)

This was pretty good. Slightly dry but still pretty good. Made 1 loaf and 9 muffins. Will make a few changes next time.

White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2006
Yum, Yum and YUM!!! Don't make unless you plan on eating them all by yourself! I used vanilla because we didn't have Brandy and used thawed cranberries from the freezer instead of the craisins. This is excellent and will definately be making again. My new favorite cookie recipe!
