A banana pancake smothered in 100% Maple Syrup
About this Cook
I am a 28 year old married mother of 3. We love to cook new and tasty things. We get excited when we get to try things we've never tried before. Sometimes the kids are picky but usually they are very open to trying everything we put out for them to eat.
My favorite things to cook
Curry dishes, stir fry dishes, over-easy eggs, potatoes (fried, baked, whatever), all kinds of rice, sushi (although we don't cook much when it comes to making that!), vegetables like broccoli, kale, collard greens, eggplant.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We love to have corned beef and cabbage on St. Paddy's Day and also any other day of the year we feel like having it. Whenever I make it, I invite the family over and everyone enjoys it. Every Thanksgiving & Christmas we have our families to our home for dinner. Everyone chips in and either cooks something here or brings something they prepared at their own home.
My cooking triumphs
Making banana pancakes from scratch! man they are great!
My cooking tragedies
The one time I attempted to make a pumpkin cheesecake from scratch. Ridiculous... Oh and the time I attempted to make a carrot cake from scratch. Nope--didn't work!! The cake spilled out all over the bottom of my oven!! :(

Romanian Apple Cake
This recipe was very easy and very yummy. I have made four apple cakes in the last 2 weeks--all have been devoured by my family quickly. The only thing I did differently was to add more cinnamon and I made a powdered sugar glaze to go over it. Thank you!

Iced Pumpkin Cookies
Light, fluffy, perfectly balanced sweet & spice. My kids LOVED them and so did I. Thank you!

Chicken Chow Mein
I bought Chinese Noodles from the grocery store to serve this dish over. For the green beans, I used the fresh, sweet & tender, small, French green beans, that I cut in half. And I only used one onion. Everyone loved the dish, and my daughter thought I had purchased the dish from a restaurant, or bought it from a store. :)
