About this Cook
I am just in my 20's but love to WOW my friends and family with new and delicious dishes. I have a book of my own personal favorites that is like a family heirloom to me, and I keep trying to have it printed, but it keeps growing! It will be the first thing to grab in case of a fire (after the kids)!
My favorite things to cook
I do a lot of Mexican since my husband's family is from Mexico, but I do best with intricate desserts, breads, and savory grilled meats.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas Eve we make about 12 different appetizers and cook all day to eat for 15 minutes!
My cooking triumphs
I had a recipe published in the Nov issue of Family Circle!
My cooking tragedies
I have learned that my family does not like it when I hide veggies in their food! Also, that you must put sugar in pumpkin pie! Oops!

Molten Chocolate Cakes With Sugar-Coated Raspberries
These are fantastic. I bake them for 8 minutes. Don't worry about them being runny, that makes them better. Too done and you've got a brownie. These are perfect as it. Didn't change a thing, except I used regular butter and omitted salt. Perfect fancy dessert for company( don't forget vanilla ice cream, it is absolutely necessary!!!)

Luscious Slush Punch
This is a no fail punch. I made the frozen mix and stored it in two bowls, but forgot to add both to the punch bowl, and it was still really good. A lighter version if you want it not so sweet. I'd use 3 2-liter bottles of sprite is using all the frozen mix, it is pretty sweet.

Creme Brulee
So easy and delicious! Tastes elegant and rich. I make this for valentine's day dinner. I broiled mine to crisp the sugar and it worked fine, just watch it the whole time!
