These are pretty good, and they smell great when baking. Only thing is, the directions are kind of arbitrary. Two carrots can really vary in size and affect the batter. I made twenty four minis and still had lots of batter left over, but I like this recipe. I added golden raisins and some cinnamon. Yum

Creamy Crawfish Bisque

This is excellent. We have full bellies from it now. I loved it. The only thing I did differently was not to blend the crawfish tails. I agree with the previous post that the tarragon really makes a difference, gives it that restaurant flair. We are Who Dat nation livin in Chicago, missing the NOLA and this really helped satisfy a craving. Delicious, I can't wait to make it again.

Flourless Chocolate Cake II

I followed the modified directions which say to omit cocoa (I find it grainy ) + add 4 oz of chocolate. I used good Ghirardelli chocolate and followed the directions otherwise. On a side note: I don't understand how this works w/o tempering the eggs, but I tried it and it just separated in the egg... I have professional baking experience and I feel that I did this correctly, but something just wasn't good about this. In fact, my husband said it was "Awful" and he would never make it again. Greasy, dense, tasted like an underbaked brownie. I'll continue looking for other recipes. Not good. Too bad.

Chicken Tortilla Soup I

This is tasty, but a little tomato-y for my taste. Next Time I'd use Rotel, like the review by 1970sall says. But I like the beans + hominy. Yum! Anything is good with crushed tortilla chips and all the other delicious toppings. Great with cornbread.

Cranberry-Pumpkin Cookies

I must be missing something. I thought these were bland, unattractive and tasteless. Not sweet, or tart, or pumpkin'y, and I had to add more flour. I did not care for this recipe. 2 for 2 in our house vote NO, and we love cookies !

Best Brownies

Absolutely great! I agree with the other reviews that say no need to ever buy box mix again! So easy, and they taste great. Chewy and just a little crisp. Take these out just before you think they're "done" We iced these with regular Duncan Hines frosting, my husband LOVED them!

Easy Sugar Cookies

Really delicious and easy, will become a house favorite! These don't spread too much-so make 'em big! I only wish they didn't require two sticks of butter!

Golden Rum Cake

Wowee. This cake is rock 'em sock 'em delicious. I left out the nuts, and was sure to get the right size vanilla pudding... What a treat, and so moist! It's almost like eating pancakes or something... absolutely wonderful. (We made ours with Myers and it turned out great!!) Enjoy!
