Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2013
Print this out and tape it to the outside of your bread machine. Soft and fragrant. The link to this was given to me from a friend. It is hers and my go to recipe for bread, rolls and cinnamon rolls. I won first place at the fair with cinnamon rolls with this bread. I got second place for my bread but I added almonds and honey to it. The judges didn't like that.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2013
Loved it. I have made this so many times now. I doubled it and cut the pepper for our Thanksgiving turkey. It was my first time doing all the cooking since mom passed. I have cooked a turkey but this was for the whole family. Everybody loved my rub. I have it printed and on the fridge as a "go to" for any chicken.

Pizza Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2013
Used homemade pizza sauce. This was very good for using a little of this and that for a late snack. Just right size for using toaster oven and not the big oven. Great with tortilla chips. Plan to use toasted baguette bread next time. Hubby suggested Italian sausage next time since is a big fan of it.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2012
I thought this was salty and i like salt. Next time, I will not add the salt and use low sodium broth. Also, with my family, I will double the gravy for the potatoes or rice. We are gravy lovers. Otherwise, I will make this again.

Yummy Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2012
Made this with 1 TBSP Jack Daniels mustard, 2 TBSP brown spicy mustard and fat free mayo because that is what I had on hand. It was very yummy. The kids loved it. With the fat free mayo, I had to stir it a lot. Next time, I will use the blender or food processor because the fat free mayo gets chunky. Otherwise, this one is a keeper for chicken tenders on family night.

Won Ton Wrapper Appetizers

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2012
I have made these for poker night at our house. I always precook the filling. I have also used this as a base for other fillings including a Mexican filling with Chorizo and cheddar cheese with green onions instead of olives. HAve fun with this and play with it.

Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2012
I made this recipe exactly except I used the blender and I scaled it down to 20 servings to fit into a jar for the fridge. It has way too much black pepper. I recommend only a fourth called for. I also had to add sugar to cut the tartness. It came out a little runnier than expected and mixed with the salad very easily hence a little goes a long way.

Rustic White Bean Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2012
This was so easy to prep. I forgot to buy enough tomatoes for this recipe but found a can of fire roasted diced tomatoes in the pantry. I also used cannelloni beans because that is what I had on hand. I made this ahead of time, refridgerated it and took daughters and girlfriends to the lake. Toasted the bread as they showered. The juice from tomatoes soaked into the bread. Kids ate it up. Even the kid that doesn't eat tomatoes tried it.

Easy Key Lime Pie I

Reviewed: May 21, 2012
Four ingredients and done. 15 minutes to bake. This is a great pie for moms that need dessert for a kid banquet or something. I keep coming back to this one for emergency pies. I whip it up while making dinner. Put it in the frig when I'm cleaning up and I have it to grab the next night without the stress of finding something to buy on the way home before the event.

Chef John's Classic Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: May 19, 2012
Amazing! Kids loved this. Instead of letting it simmer on the stove, I browned it up & placed in the slowcooker and left for a class. When I got home, I stirred in the creme, turned on the water for the noodles & chopped a salad. Dinner was done in 15 minutes and it was great.

Finally a vegetarian menu that doesn't have a bunch of stuff that I would never buy or have never heard of. This one looks great.

Death By Garlic

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2011
First, I usually divide this into 8 servings instead of 4. Second, as a gardener, I love this. I add what ever is coming out of the garden or leftovers from last night's salad and it is good everytime. add any herbs you have growing and it works too.

Pink Grapefruit Blueberry Sorbet

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2011
I was given a bottle of grapefruit juice and didn't like it. But I am not one to make waste. I made this in the blender with frozen blueberries and no vodka. I poured it into an ice cream maker and has a wonderful sorbet 20 minutes later.

Pace® Sirloin Steak Ole

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2010
I was not feeling well this morning, so I threw this with a drained can of kernel corn into the crockpot for the family. It shredded wonderfully. They ended up spooning this into tortillas. It was awesome with a little sprinkle of cheddar and some lettuce they found in the frig.

Easy Lemon Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
This is my most requested cookie now. Hubby took it to work and they want more. I have tried different flavors with equal success. I have even tried replacing the oil with applesauce or mashed bananas. I have added nuts or mini chocolate chips with success too. Great base recipe to play with.

Waffles I

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2010
I made this recipe almost exactly. I added thawed strawberries , 1/4 cup applesauce and 1/4 cup oil. I blended wet ingredients in a blender on the highest setting. Then, I whisked the dry ingredients in by hand including whole wheat flour. We were trying to find a great way to make healthy peanut butter sandwiches for the kids lunches. We are trying to stay away from the corn syrup in jelly. The waffles were slightly sweet and made great lunchbox additions. They were so good that my picky DH ate them. Definitely a recipe worth repeating.

Corrigan's Minestrone

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2009
When I worked at Olive Garden, we cooked the pasta seperately. Then , add just before serving. Boil the pasta, drain and toss with veggie oil. Toss into soup right before serving. If you plan to store some for later, divide it before adding pasta or simply add a 1/4 cup or so of cooked pasta to each bowl before ladeling soup over it.
