About this Cook
I'm a New Yorker who prefers to spend money on my own ingredients and cook at home rather than eat out at the newest hippest restaurants in the city! You can find me in my own kitchen or at my boyfriends bachelor pad in NJ cooking up a storm for everyone!
My favorite things to cook
Anything new! I just love to cook.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Everything must have flavor! Salt and pepper alone just doesn't cut it!!
My cooking triumphs
Baking cookies, finally!
My cooking tragedies
Baking cookies... I always managed to burn some.

Famous Japanese Restaurant-Style Salad Dressing
Too friggin' good! This is my staple salad dressing. I love the ginger dressing you get at Japanese restuarants and I'm glad I found this recipe - it is exactly what I was looking for. I didn't throw in the celery or ketchup (had none) and it was still amazing.

Sean's Falafel and Cucumber Sauce
So good! I heated up the chickpeas - as another reviewer suggested - it made mashing much easier. I didn't have fresh parsely so I used dried. I didn't use the entire cup of breadcrumbs because it just seemed too much - used about 3/4 cup. Lastly, I baked them instead of frying for a much healthier verison. Oh, and try them with Trader Joe's tzatziki cucumber and garlic sauce if you don't want to make the sauce too - its so good! Enjoy ladies!

Creamy Dill Cucumber Toasties
Just Awesome! although if you leave them out for long, they DO get soggy. Maybe (as advised in other reviews) let guests spread the cream cheese mixture on the toaties themselves.
