Mexican Chicken Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
I thought this was a good soup but a little sweeter than I expected, probably from the creamed corn, maybe next time I will use regular corn?

Ground Turkey Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
I just rated it as is but this is a good base, I've made it many times with my adjustments to kick it up a bit. I skipped the sugar and added onions, garlic, italian seasonings and at least 1 veggie (zucchini is what I had this time) but sometimes I use peas &/or shredded carrots, can also add chili pepper flakes if you like it a little spicey

These are really good and really easy to make. I used whole wheat flour and let them sit/rise overnight so I could pop them in the oven and have hot gooey rolls for breakfast. Worked perfectly!

Buttery Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
These are great! Tried out about 3 or 4 different roll recipes to use for Thanksgiving this is the only one I liked that didn't taste like a bisquit. I added shredded cheese and Jalapenos to the mixture, I forgot to butter the top but they still turned out perfect.

Chicken Wild Rice Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2008
This was very good, even my 3 and 6yr old liked it. I cooked it in a slow cooker and the only thing I changed was adding the mushrooms in later so they wouldn't get too mushy.

Chicken Pot Pie VI

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2008
This is good. I sauted fresh veggies then used leftover fried chicken that I chopped up. mixed everything together including more seasonings. I also didn't have a pie crust. so I used Bisquick. 1 Cup Busquick mixed with 1 cup milk. 1/2 stick butter sliced and layered on top, pour batter over top and cook 30 or so minutes till a nice golden brown and bubbly.

Yummy Blueberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2008
very yummy! we picked 18lbs of blueberries so I was looking for something to use them in. I found this but didn't have flour so I used 1 1/2 cups bisquick (in place of flour and baking soda) also added more cinnamon and a little vanilla. Everyone loved it. I have now made three times. It's quick and easy

Black-Eyed Pea Gumbo

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
Very good change from the normally plain black eyed peas on New years day! I also used dried peas that I soaked overnight. cooked rice in rice cooker first and added to soup later. used the creole seasoning from this site. and had to keep adding water to keep it soupy. waited to the end to add green pepper so it wasn't mushy and also added some Beef Sausage. I cooked on med/low for about 5+hrs. The whole family loved it! this will be our new, New Years day meal.
