I've been looking for something to rival the storebought kind, and this is IT! They're soft and chewy, but not too hard to work with as cut-outs. I used a simple 10x sugar icing to ice them, and they were picture-perfect as well as yummy!

Winter Squash Rolls

This is the best recipe I've ever used for dinner rolls and will be my recipe of choice from now on. The rolls have a wonderful color. The flavor reminds me of potato bread (which I LOVE). One average butternut squash will yield enough squash for about 4 batches. The rolls are large enough to use as sandwich rolls (with lunch) when the dough is only divided into 12 pieces. For dinner rolls (to accompany a supper meal), I would divide the dough into at least 18 pieces, if not 24.

One Bowl Brownies

This is truly the BEST brownie recipe I have ever made (or tasted, for that matter). I used cocoa powder and oil instead of the chocolate squares. I also found it unnecessary to line the pan, unlike another reviewer posted. I generously greased it, and the brownies came out fine. If you're looking for a brownie recipe that tastes just like - and probably better than - your favorite boxed mix, this is it!!

Old Plantation Rolls

Very, very good! I made them for a Thanksgiving celebration with friends and everyone raved over them. If they were a touch sweeter, they'd be everything I ever dreamed of in a roll. I divided mine into 18 portions (because someone said that 24 were very small) and they ended up being bigger than I anticipated. Next time I'll make 24 like the recipe says.
