simple and delicious! My grill is covered in snow and I didn't feel like cleaning the broiling pan when I was finished, so I actually poached it in the sauce and it was still delicious. Can't wait until I'm brave enough to clean the snow off my deck to BBQ!

Beef Tenderloin With Roasted Shallots

I've made this several times and ALWAYS get rave reviews. The gravy is scrumptious! I'm not a port fan as I find it sweet so I use a deep cabernet sauvignon and it's simply delicious!! You may want to double up on the gravy ingredients...I've never run out of meat before it!

Chicken and Red Wine Sauce

So simple! If you butterfly the chicken you can "quick fry" it as well..ready in 20 minutes. I only cooked two chicken breasts and didn't actually measure anything but this chicken was simple and fabulous. Thanks for a great, easy recipe!

Barbequed Steelhead Trout

Like everyone else says...so simple and yet delicious! I grilled some veggies on the bbq at the same time and it was a very quick and nutritious meal. This will definitely become part of the regular meal plan.

Baked Trout Saratoga

A++ in my books for simplicity and flavour. All the other reviews were right on the money. I only did a single filet and so I diced a whole fresh tomato rather than a can of tomatoes. This is a very heathly, wholesome meal with a lot of flavour. Pair with vegetables of your choice and you have a perfect, low cal, low fat, nutrient packed meal.

Chicken Noodle Casserole

This was good. I didn't have savory but love basil so I substituted with that. My 16 year old son looked at it and was hesitant to try it...not a big casarole guy. I told him it was this or nothing and he just came back for seconds. I guess it wasn't so bad! I used 1% milk and it worked well.

Spinach Lentil Soup

maybe I'm just not a lentil fan...not sure. I made it for a friend who's in the hospital and is vegan. Compared to the hospital food it was good but I found this recipe quite boring. It was edible but trying to get my teenager to eat it was impossible. Would not make again.

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

I don't know if I did something wrong but I found this to be very boring and bland. Maybe with some red wine and herbs it would be okay, but as is I found it lacked any real excitement.

Zippy Rice Pilaf

I LOVED this rice as did my dinner guests. I had given away the recipe before dinner was even over. Will definitely make often. The cilantro tops it off perfectly!

Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

It was a hit. Even my 16 year old son, who is complacent about everything, said "wow! this is really great!". He retracted the statement 30 seconds later, but it was out there! Very easy to make and amazing flavour. I only marinate for about 30 minutes too because I was pressed for time. Will make again often!

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Really enjoyed this recipe. I prepped everything the night before so that I could spend time with my guest rather than cooking so it marinated over night. It was absolutely fantastic and oh so simple. I didn't change a thing.

Butternut Squash Soup II

A hit although my guests (my parents) couldn't believe it wasn't a cream soup. Easy make but I agree with some of the other reviewers...roast the squash for easy peeling and add some seasoning. I added ginger, nutmeg and a touch of cayanne. It went over very well and will definitely make again since it's so wonderfully healthy for you!

Sweet Potato Bake

Easy and awesome! I used fresh sweet potatoes, not canned and white sugar subsitute in order to cut back on SOME of the calories. I had three people ask me for the recipe! Definitely a keeper.

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

I have a friend who used to buy her sauce from a local restaurant until I made this sauce and gave her the recipie. Wonderfully simple and VERY tastey. The only thing I changed was I added a pinch of sugar. To the previous reviewer though, there is a big difference between cooking with red wine and white. Stick to the recipe and you can't go wrong!
