Thanksgiving Leftovers Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
The great reviews encouraged me to try this. To be honest, the family and I were underwhelmed - it was bland tasting; had a mushy, unpleasant texture; and was too salty. Unlikely to try it again, but if I did, I would omit the parmesan cheese ( too salty); rough chop and hand mix the stuffing and turkey to give it some texture; and kick it up with some garlic, red pepper and fried onions. I would also pass on the gravy and use a white sauce, maybe a cream soup undiluted.

Great stuffing. I use a couple of beaten eggs to hold it all together.

Citrus Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
What a great brine. It leaves such a nice, mellow citrus touch to turkey, and the added flavour to the gravy from the drippings is incredible.

Garden Stuffed Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
Made last night, and it was a hit. No brocolli, so I used peas and mixed in some shredded old cheddar. One thing I will try next time is after the 15 minute baking, I will broil the tops for 3-4 minutes to get a nice brown 'crisp' to the top.

Rabbit Stew with Coconut Cream

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
This did not work well for me. The rabbit ended up being overcooked, and falling apart. It was very bony, and hard to eat. The taste was average - not a lot of wow factor.

Ham, Potato and Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2008
I do not understand the rave reviews. I followed the recipe exactly, and ended up with a gooey, tasteless mess. The french fries turned out a mashed up, soppy mess. Won't be trying this one again.

COLLEGE INN® Turkey and Stuffing Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
This is not a recipe: it is a process map to open cans and pour the contents. And the results were very dissapointing. Bland and tasteless with a consistency that was unpalatable.

Sweet Potato and Apple Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
A great, hearty soup, but next time I would opt to omit the lemon: it was just a bit overpowering.

Honeyed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2007
An excellent recipes. I had no honey so used maple sryup ( hey, I'm Canadian!) and I also added three cloves crushed garlic, and some leftover honey hoison sauce ( appx half a cup.) Turned out great!
