Lemon Butter Tarts

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2012
lemon curd was perfection. I made a couple of adjustments....I trippled the recipe. I used the juice of 3 lemons and topped it off with lime juice to make the cup I needed. I did not make/do meringue. I made fresh whipped cream and candied lemon chips for garnish. This curd was the most amazing flavor of sweet/tart. Absolutly exactly what I wanted and I will make this again and again.

Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2012
absolutly perfect! I have made marshmellow fondant before but was always chewy and marshmallowy. This recipe with the addition of the water cuts that and made a perfect texture that was easy to roll, cut and form.

Chicken Rice Balls

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2010
Thank you for a wonderful recipe. It is hard to find meals my son will eat and he asked for seconds. My daughter says "it's great". I used cream of chicken soup because the kids don't like mushrooms (Next time I'll make two different sauces as I think the mushroom soup would be great). And I added sour cream to the sauce to jazz it up and keep it from tasting like canned soup.

Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
This is by far the best ever! Next time I will beat my eggs and then stir in or fold all other ingredients. The beaters made it to foamy so I had a crusted top. We liked the top that way but I prefer a traditional look. which also means, after you pour into a pie shell, top with whole pecans. The flavor is wonderful! everyone will love this!

Mom's Applesauce Pancakes

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
I thought these sounded good but of course I had to put my own spin on them. I used homemade pumpkin butter instead of apple sauce, and added a pinch of nutmeg and a little extra cinnamon. They were fantastik. I also added chocolate chips but next time I think I would rather have butterscotch chips or a mix of the 2 of them.

give this one 6 stars!!!! so easy, and so delicious. highly recommend. I was making applesauce today as well and used homemade applesauce. Don't know if that made any difference but this is a true keeper.

Apple Butter VI

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2008
great taste but my apples must of been juicier because it took over 5 hours to cook down to the right consistancy. I only used 1 1/2 cups white sugar and I added some cinnamon and a touch of clove. Great flavor but took all day!

Holiday Cranberry Applesauce

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2008
This was so easy to make. I sliced, pealed and cored my apples, and after they were cooked the first 15 min or so took my immersion blender to it. It has the consistancy of applesauce with a very wonderful unique flavor. The red hots gave a sweetness without a "spicey" cinnamon flavor. I bottled it and gave it a "bath". Jars sealed nice and I can't wait to share it.

Peach Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
Wonderful recipe. I made a mini version for my daughters pre-school class. I substituted applesauce for part of the oil, added a pinch of nutmeg and baked for 12 minutes in a mini muffin pan. After cooling partway I dipped to tops of the muffins in melted butter and then cinnamon and sugar. They were a big hit with teachers requesting the recipe.

Mom's Pineapple-Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2007
Made this for my wifes birthday per her request. My Dad said it was the best carrot cake he has ever had. I added extra cinnamon and a little nutmeg for good measure. Is super moist, great texture, and very tasty. I will add more pineapple in the future but otherwise was a sure fire hit with everyone at my house from age 4 to age 55!
