Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Everyone loved it. I didn't cut the potatoes in 1/4 inch slices, just slightly thinner and I still thought they were too thick. I would of liked it better if they were cut into 1/8 inch thick slices. Next time I make it I will try it like that. I topped it with planko bread crumbs, but the cheese ended up bubbling up over the top and soaked up the crumbs. I won't add the crumbs next time. As others suggested I added the sauce in between layers. I think it turned out better this way then just having it all poured over the top.

Baked Potato Skins

I made these last weekend and everyone was raving that these were they best potato skins they ever had. I baked 4 potatoes the night before, scooped them out and then let them chill in the fridge over night. Only complaint I have is there was a lot of grease swimming in the pan while baking them.

Blueberry Pie

Mine came out very soupy and I even added an extra tablesoon of cornstarch like others recommended. Next time I think I will try 3 extra tablespoons. The flavor was very good though. I added an extra cup of blueberries as well since it didn't fill up my pie plate as much as I liked.

Warm Crab Dip II

I used an 8 oz. can of crab instead of 6oz. I added some cheese into it as well, like cheddar or Monterey Jack. Just a handful, a little less then 1 cup. I also sprinkled parm cheese on the top before baking. After done baking, I also turned the broiled on for like 2-3 minutes just to brown the top.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

This recipe is great! I used 1.5 lbs of cooked chicken tenders instead of the canned meat. Canned meat just creeps me out! I also used monterey jack cheese along with the cheddar, and tobasco to taste. I don't like things spicy so i just mixed in a tablespoon at a time until i reached the heat level i like. I made it ahead of time for a party, baked it for about 30 minutes at 350 degrees, and then broiled it for the last 2-3 minutes to get a browned crust.

London Broil I

Came out really good. Used some teriyaki sauce as well. Cooked it in the oven about 8-10 minutes broiled on each side.

Marinated Tuna Steak

Pesto Sauce

I made mine with almond slices instead of walnuts. It came out great! Perfect amount of garlic and add as much olive oil as desired. I wanted mine a bit runnier for a sauce for pasta so I laddled some of the left over boiling water from the pasta to help thicken it up.

Banana Cake V

The recipe is good, but here are some alterations i made to make it better. Instead of all white sugar i did 1/2 cup brown sugar, 3/4 cup white sugar. I added 4 whole bananas to give it extra banana flavor. Also I added chocolate chips to the cake after I put it in the pan already. Whenever I bring this cake to work it gets gobbled up so quickly, no one has a chance for 2nds!

Hummus III

I wish I never made this...everywhere I go people are always requesting me to make this now!! If you are a garlic lover add another clove. It was great! I just added the olive oil while it was in the processor still. If you want it to be less thick then just add more olive oil.

Old-Fashioned Potato Soup

Apple Pie I

I changed some stuff and it came out a lot better the 2nd time. I did 2/4c brown and 1/4 white sugar instead of 3/4c white sugar. I put some nutmeg in it also. On top of the latice i mixed 1 egg and some milk and egg washed the top of the pie and then sprinkled it with white sugar. I had to bake it about 10 minutes longer. Just wanna make sure you wait for the juices in the pie to bubble before removing from the oven.

Marshmallow Treats

Perfect! it's a normal bag of the big marshmallows if you get the bigger size. I switched up 2 cups with golden grahams to give it a change.
