Irish Potato Candy

These were delicious. I rolled mine in cinnamon sugar instead of just cinnamon as I was afraid pure cinnamon might be too much. Very rich and creamy and, most importantly, a breeze to make.

My family has been making this recipe for years. The only change we make is to add butter to the crust, instead of margarine, and add finely chopped, toasted pecans to the crust as well. Definitely 5 stars!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Loved this!! I had never thought of a dessert cheeseball so was intrigued by this. Sweet but delicious. I served it with chocolate wafers and vanilla wafers and pretzels. I rolled in toasted pecans. I will definitely make this again. Thank you for this wonderful recipe :)

Rhubarb Shortbread Squares

Loved the taste of this but the texture was off. I was thinking it would be much smoother and creamier. If I made this again I think I would only add one pkg of gelatin to see if this helped.

Danish Oatmeal Cookies

This was a cross between an oatmeal cookie and a shortbread cookie. Almost a pecan sandy - ish cookie. It was very good - light and buttery, but still a little weird. The oatmeal definitely gave the cookie an odd texture. I give it 5 stars for flavour but it loses 1 star because of the texture. The family loved these.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

This was such an amazing crust. I added a little minced garlic to the dough before baking and it was great. I made 1 large pizza and 2 personal sized ones from one batch. I will definitely be making this again and again. Thanks for the recipe.

Carrot Cheesecake Muffins

Delicious. I only made 2 little changes. I used 1/2 cup pineapple juice instead of the evaporated milk and 2Tbsp of sour cream instead of Orange juice. They turned out wonderfully.

Dar's Super Savory Sauerkraut Potato Bake

Delicious! The simple white sauce is so much tastier than using a cream of mushroom soup or something similar. I did add a bit more saurkraut as I wanted to use up the jar. Will definitely make this again!!

Scrumptious Strawberry Shortcake

Great recipe. I made a few changes. I used brown sugar instead of white, 1 cup whole wheat + 2 cups white flour and only used 3 tsp baking powder as per other reviewer's suggestions. Turned out light and flakey! Very nice.

Ice Cream Kolacky

This was a nice, easy to roll out dough. I used icing sugar instead of flour to roll it with. I would like to try making this with a peppermint ice cream or choc chip mint for something a little different. Over all pretty nice.

Strawberry and Peanut Butter Cream Cake Roll

I had never made a jelly roll before and was worried it might be complicated or that the cake would fall apart with the slightest touch. I was very pleasantly surprised. I made this recipe as is and it turned out wonderfully. Very easy and fast! The kids loved the peanut butter and jam flavor more so than the adults, but I am looking forward to trying different fillings. This cake recipe is a perfect jelly roll texture :)

This was very different texture wise. Everyone loved it. The kind-of caramelly flavor and chewy texture of the crust really adds a different spin on regular lemon pie. I always get asked for the recipe.

Peanut Butter Bumble Bees

I made this recipe as is and didn't have any troubles. I don't use a beater to mix the ingredients, i just use a wooden spoon. This seems to make the consistency less sticky. (for me, anyway)A very easy recipe to make if you have kids to impress. They love the look and taste :)

Hearty Chicken Strata

This was excellent. I made it as is plus threw in some onions and garlic. I had to bake it a little longer than stated to make sure the centre was set, but that may have been my oven. (I did just over an hour at 350) The family gave me rave reviews. Serving it with gravy added more flavor but was not really necessary. This was a great dish.
