Winter Fruit Salad with Lemon Poppyseed Dressing

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2011
Perfect, as is! I used bagged romaine lettuce mix instead of buying. I used two and doubled the batch and it was great, but had leftover dressing. I won't complain, though... I could use it later on another salad!

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
This was excellent! Made it for book club, and it was a hit. The only thing I did differently was that I didn't roast the garlic ahead of time... I used my garlic press and put it directly into the mixture. Will make again!

Whiskey Marinade

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
This was great - we marinated our chicken in it for about 2.5 hours, then grilled. YUM!

Mushroom, Leek, Chicken Sausage and Tortellini Soup

Reviewed: May 22, 2011
We LOVED this - the spicy chicken sausage gave it a really good flavor. Only 4 stars because 30 minutes of simmering would be far too much for the tortellini so I put it in just for 8-10 minutes, according to package directions. Worked like a charm. Also, I had some leftover beef broth to use up, so I used 2 c. beef broth and 4 c. chicken broth. Our company liked it, too.

Garlic Aioli

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2011
Tastes great and went well with my crab cakes -- and super easy! I had 3 large cloves of garlic, and the flavor was strong -- which I liked, but if you don't like strong garlic flavor, you may want to use a bit less or smaller cloves. :) The review that says they use it on pieces of pita bread sounds very tasty... maybe that's how I'll use the leftovers. I think it would be great in wraps, too.

Ken's Perfect Hard Boiled Egg (And I Mean Perfect)

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2011
This worked great - I wish I would have read the other reviews before making them. I would have taken the eggs out of the fridge a while before doing this so they wouldn't have been so cold. I had a couple of eggs crack, and from reading the other reviews, that can be avoided by letting them get to room temp before boiling.

Mom's Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2011
We really enjoyed this! I used chopped pecans because I didn't have walnuts - I wasn't sure how much 8 oz. was, so just used 1/4 c. because I only had 16 oz. of sprouts (rather than the 20 the recipe calls for). Probably my favorite brussel sprouts recipe I've had.

Awesome! I made them into muffins and they were a huge hit at work and at home. No changes. :)

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
These were awesome - I reduced the ital. seasoning by 1/2 tsp. and the oregano by 1/4 tsp., based on my taste preference... this will be my go-to recipe! I froze most of them and they've been great to pull out a few at a time to throw into my pasta sauce or make a meatball sandwich. YUM!

Blueberry Breakfast Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
This was so easy and so wonderful! No changes. We used it over waffles and my friend's kids kept asking for more waffles (so they could have the blueberries) until she had to cut them off. :) This would be great on pancakes, crepes, or ice cream, as well.

Baked Apricot Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2011
This was awesome and super easy! I thought I had apricot preserves, but I guess it was orange marmalade - but it worked out great, and I think it's pretty similar. Others said that they used Catalina or Italian dressing -- but I went with French, as the recipe calls for (the 'sweet and spicy' kind) and it worked out great. I used proportions as directed and used chicken thighs. It was a hit and I'll definitely make again.

Quick and Easy Chicken

Quick, easy, and delicious! Made as is, but doubled the sauce - and recommend doing that. Served over jasmine rice with veggie on the side. Yum!

Spicy Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
Taste was good - strong dijon mustard flavor. Agree with the others that if you were to steam brussels sprouts for 30 minutes, they would be mush. I did 10, and that was plenty.

Blueberry Buckle

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
This was great as-is ... I wouldn't change a thing. I will say that the dough seemed thicker than it should be, so that it wouldn't "pour" into the pan. We patted it down evenly in the baking pan and everything turned out great.

Holiday Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
This is awesome! I made it as is with two small exceptions - used 1 c. dried cranberries (instead of 1.5) and 0.5 c. pecans (instead of 1 c.). This will be my go-to chicken salad recipe from now on. YUM! UPDATE: I used it the leftover for baked chicken salad sandwiches -- was great heated too!

Kielbasa Cabbage Skillet

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
Eating this now and it's SO good. I didn't have green pepper, so subbed red pepper and sliced carrots. I did not use garlic as other suggested, but had "hot" keilbasa which gave it plenty of flavor - will make again. Maybe tomorrow!

White Texas Sheet Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
Love this as is - my mom made this a lot growing up just like this recipe and it's one of my favorite cakes - you can definitely taste the almond, which I love, so if you don't like almond this may not be for you. I think it's terrific!
